Hello there!
My name is Snif, well known in the MRP community and through my Air Force carrier, I've noted some stuff down for future pilots. :salute:
STEP 1:
Piloting helicopters:
Hold Q - Options - Aircraft (I prefer using your mouse)
Suggested settings: https://gyazo.com/ea85f1f7b72053086077f31d3222c04e
Tips:
- Make sure you're flying low as possible (Avoiding stingers is 1. priority)
- Consider this as your helicopter scope (https://gyazo.com/7e86bda4d0e60d5af039afbad94d02ad)
- The best way to dodge stingers is making 180 degrees turns.
Details:
- Start Button - (Pretty important to start your engine)
- Throttle (+) - (Pushes your helicopter upwards)
- Throttle (-) - (Pushes your helicopter downwards)
- Yaw (+-) - (A more effective helicopter turn for your helicopter)
- Hover - (Hover mode can help in e.g situations where you are about to crash or having hard times landing)
- Enter/Exit - (You either enter your helicopter or exit it)
- Freeview - (Extra tool while you're flying if you're scouting for enemy helicopters/tanks)
- Camera (This is needed when you're co-piloting for an attack helicopter so you have access to the rocket/cannon)
- Fire - (Depends if you're co-piloting or piloting, but it really is just a fire button.)
- NextWeapon - (If you have multiple options to choose from for attacking then the next weapon button will switch for you)
- Engine volume - (It is important not to completely mute helicopters since it's needed in a helicopter fight.)
- Arcade Mode/Dynamic View - (Changes the way of piloting, much more smooth flying etc)
- Use Mouse - (As stated above, mouse is suggested for MRP)
- Sensitivity - (It is important to have a good sensitivity that feels good to yourself so you don't panic/stress that fast meanwhile in combat.)
STEP 2:
Communication/Strategy as a co-pilot:
Tips:
- Always Request Bombing Targets
- Always report back when the requested bombing target has been completed
- Frequently talk to your pilot
- When you bomb locations. make sure you're hitting all buildings around the location
- When attacking infantry groups, cannon fire is suggested. (Hellfires/Bombs are for big targets)
- Co-pilot cannons can be delayed at some times, therefore you make sure to aim a bit in front of the helicopter whenever it's moving.
