Option 1:
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
- Add a new weapon, the NV-4 from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, into the server.
- It would be given stats equivalent to current standard weapons for combative personnel (e.g. VHS-D2, ARX-160, Ghost-R5, etc).
- Replace the E-11 Containment Specialists Primary rifle with the newly added NV-4.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Equips the Generalist E-11 role with a gun suited for its position.
- Allows E-11 to facilitate combat more effectively in Mid-long range combat.
- Aesthetic Consistency within the unit and its loadout.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Development Time for porting, rigging, programming, and setting up attachments for the new weapon
- Increased server load times due to new content.
Option 2:
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
- Replace the E-11 Containment Specialist Primary rifle with a KBAR-32.
- Nerf the KBAR-32 to stats equivalent to current standard weapons for combative personnel (e.g. VHS-D2, ARX-160, Ghost-R5, etc)
- Move KBAR-32 out of the Energy-Weapon category and into the Rifle category.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Equips the Generalist E-11 role with a gun suited for its position.
- Allows E-11 to facilitate combat more effectively in Mid-long range combat.
- Aesthetic Consistency within the unit and its loadout.
- No new content needs to be added.
- No overlap with other jobs loadouts. The KBAR-32 is used by no one currently.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Event-Planners lose a unique weapon for event characters to use
- In my honest opinion, restricting this weapon only to event use is a waste of its potential.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
After speaking with people from both UK and US E-11, The general sentiment is that the Karma-45 is heavily disliked for its high recoil, high spread, and low DPS. Furthermore, the Karma-45 has had a broken Flashlight attachment for MONTHS. Many E-11 forgo the better-equipped Containment Specialist and instead use the Operative Job, simply because the FHR-40 is a better alternative to the Karma-45. As a job that is supposed to be an upgrade from the operative job, this is not a good situation for it to be in.As Biohazard specialists frequently deal with “Horde” style enemies (mainly 049-2 and 008-2 swarms), the high spread and large magazine size of the Karma-45 is very effective for it.
However, the Containment Specialist is meant to be a generalist equipped for every situation. It is woefully under-equipped to deal with many SCPs, especially at the mid to long-range encounters that we frequently find ourselves in after the HCZ Update. Long sightlines and broad open areas like you see outside 939, in the atrium, and outside 7722 demonstrate the inability of the Karma-45 to provide consistent damage to a target.
Both Command Teams of US and UK E-11 Agreed to the change, and encouraged me to go ahead with the suggestion. This suggestion has been in the works for the better part of 2 weeks now and would be beneficial all around for the regiment.
