Content Suggestion New Nu-7 Warfund Item

Content Suggestions will be reviewed by Content Team weekly, please allow time as not everything can be reviewed at once.
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

The suggestion is to add a new Equipment package, unique to Nu-7, that they can buy with war funds. The name can be something like Mechanic or something along those lines.

The Equipment Package will consist of

Max Usage -> 10 Ish Usages, exact amount can be up to content for balancing though.
LVS Repair Torch (weapon_lvsrepair).

The price should be similar to that of a Spy Drone (500k warfunds) with a 60-minute cooldown.

Why?
SCP Foundation has the most amount of vehicles to my knowledge. Nu-7's Main uniqueness is tanks and vehicles, yet they have the fewest Repair Torches compared to CI with also 6, and UNGOC, which have a theoretical infinite amount if all of them are on Soldiers. I believe this equipment package will allow Nu-7 to have more repair tools while also keeping the balance of fewer Repair Torches, by making them pay for more. It also allows lower-ranking individuals of Nu-7 to have more of a job by allowing them to have a repair torch on an operative.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I do not believe so.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Allows for more personnel to grab Repair Torches, which is Nu-7's, and SOPs whole thing really.
Adds more warfund equipment that Nu-7 can spend on, as currently the only Air Support packages that are even worth it are Smoke Screen, Marder, and Leopard.
Allows for Nu-7 to spread across and utilize vehicles more with more repair torches, which allow for easier repairs.
Promotes more Nu-7 Duties for lower ranks.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
It could possibly upset the balance, hence why it is being asked for to be a war fund, rather than being on operative which multiple people have suggested, which WOULD upset the balance.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I think it is something unique that hasn't really been suggested for, Nu7's main thing is vehicles, yet only NCOs of Nu-7 can repair it, which is a bit weird to me. This will continue the balance, while also allowing for them to spend more war funds for a longer life of their tanks.

Well, I can understand the point of having the fewest repair tools, but allowing jobs that have really strong base kits to have these repair tools, I feel, would be unbalanced. Allowing a jug to sit behind a vehicle and constantly repair would be really strong also, allowing jobs that have deployable shields to create cover for themselves to repair would also be unbalanced. The point about CI having more is kind of weird to me, as they might have more, but the kit with the repair tool is not good at all, so it's only used as a job that can repair vehicles, and you will almost never find it full unless there are a lot of alphas. Although I do agree that Nu-7 should have the same amount of repair tools, maybe increase the slots for the current Nu-7 job with the tools rather than allowing virtually all SOP/Foundation roles to have access to them.

Thats atleast my thoughts on it

I get why, but as a current Nu7, there's a very good reason why only Specialists have the repair torch. Maybe repair torch access overall could be revisited following this? But I can't find a ticket for it on the tracker, so I don't know if it survived the great ticketening.
From memory, both GOC soldier and CI alpha have access to a infinite slot job that has a vehicle repair tool so why is it over tuned for Nu7 to have access to the same?

Alpha is 6 slots, GOC however is infinite, however Nu-7 main job is vehicles It makes zero sense they do not have more repair torches, this gives the compromise of more repair torches for spending more money.

I am for Nu7 having them since vehicles were sold to be their specialty while GOC for some reason has access to better vehicles and infinite repair tools, I'm just confused on why Emilia is saying there's a reason its locked to specialist.

The only sign of vehicle balance is that only a few limited jobs have the repair tool.
This would remove this whole dynamic.

Also your argument that we have infinite repair tools is straight up not true. Only the Operative and Tech Expert gets them, and techie is non-combative, so in reality we have 6 PEOPLE, not infinity. Operative is like the worst job outside of that.
And I bet GOC's about the same.

GOC's Soldier Job is infinite, and has a great gun. As well as allowing suits to get inside of it.
I disagree, as it will still be balanaced, as if someone dies with the repair torch, well that's another use of the equipment package gone.

I believe this will be balanced, due to it costing warfunds, as well as a hour cooldown.

i think you are not fully aware of how broken it'd be to go max repair tools in every vehicle and how that leads to standstills, repair jobs are already the most important part of surface combat and they're OVERPOWERED if u add more of them it'll lead to surface combat being really really bad
GOC not being balanced is nothing new and they're not abusing it so nothing has been done but it being infinite is broken indeed but that doesnt mean that u should give infinite repair tools or more repair tools to other jobs

I believe Nu7 has 6 roles with it. 4 specialists, and 2 auto riflemen.

6 roles seem adequate, given vehicles are only one factor in this. If CI/GOC where to attack the site they have 4MTF's and a further 3 combative departments to fight, plus we have a bigger site, and usually more people on.

Another factor, the way its done sort of matches up to when you get a AVL, so crew can have them.

This also opens the question of, why dont we give CI this as well? Its not like they dont use vehicles.

Also, i dont know how GOC finances usually look, but they could have pretty expensive vehicles and be pretty poor most of the time.

Nu-7's Main special factor is vehicles with Foundation having the most vehicles, yet Foundation has the least Repair tools of the three factions making it quite difficult to balance if they have multiple vehicles out & making it difficult for DEA to operate any vehicles for fear of losing them easily or only being able to take them out once before they are too damaged. A warfund drop like this could greatly help this while not shifting balance to badly

I'm still indifferent, i think 6 is sufficient without this war-fund item.

No amount of repair tools will change competency in mangement of assets.

And i also feel like this acts as a balance so NU7 cant spawn its entire armada at once, knowing they only have 6 repair tools, so can really only crew 2 vehicles, if they want either the auto rifle weapon or specialist equipment to be used. (presuming 2 seat vehicle obviously, although most only need 2 crew member's, the third if it has a weapon is a commanders seat)

At best id support maybe giving the sniper role a repair tool, so its up to 8

DEA is a non factor, they are only allowed to use the vehicles if NU7 isn't using them, and other suggestions on DEA getting armoured vehicles have been denied on that premise.
