Right,

I check my phone, check change logs and see "scp neuro controller". Instantly i think "oh ny god? Roleplay? I might actually play rsd, do some docs etc". I scroll down and it reads "in the ci base". Few things,

1. Why is this being implemented as a combative item primarily?
2. So we just buffing CI?
3. There is an argument to say that SOP could raid but oh well, CI base is just a straight, double door wide line

If this was added to foundation this could genuinely incentives dozens of people to engage in research roleplay. I know this is literally me crying but i really dont care. How about instead of replying with "cope" or "stop crying" you just make a genuine reply or suggestion

No one said it's "primarily a combative item" there is extensive RP to be done with it.
Hell it's literally been 10 hours and it isn't even out on UK yet and people are upset and complaining which is absolutely absurd.

Nu7 got a buff and got a Juggernaut and Foundation didn't complain. A neuro controller is able to be stolen and used by GOC or CI. Sure it's a CI asset but everyone can use it if they get it. Not sure why giving a new technology item to CI is a cause for concern.

This thread just reads off as entitled and ungrateful to the work the developers put into this and to the strides and effort SL are making to try get fun and new things into the server. It hasn't even been used yet and there's instant crying which is unbelievable.

If your incentive to roleplay as RSD with SCP's is to force them to be brainwashed (Removing all characteristics from them), just so you can have an easy pass to do slop tests, you aren't here to Roleplay, you're here to fuck about and win at the game.

cope at what? it's not even out yet, there's nothing to cope at.

Naffen put it fucking amazingly, but have your fun, don't bitch about it and just enjoy yourself and create your RP as you always have.

This has been something planned for like a year lmao.
Neuro controller quite ironically allow for more RP potential with SCPs than CI have had in years ☠️☠️☠️
At least wait long enough for it to be actually used before making speculative complaints.
Also what naffen said about nu7 jugg and the multitude of SOP buffs that have or are to be implented

If your incentive to roleplay as RSD with SCP's is to force them to be brainwashed (Removing all characteristics from them), just so you can have an easy pass to do slop tests, you aren't here to Roleplay, you're here to fuck about and win at the game.

Apart from niox, i dont see 1 CI using this for roleplay. Its going to be used as a CB extender. On the matter of "we just buffed foundation", it was *closer* to even which it should be and now its absolutely in CIs hands.

Im not saying the devs have done bad work im saying whoever chose to give this to CI is clearly noy looking at the lack of stuff to do with rsd

Im a bit annoyed niox aswell that you instantly say im going to do "slop rp"

i never once claimed you said this.
And you say RSD doesn't have much to do, well look at CI. The faction known for not having a consistent RP loop, and its loop being disruptive to RP.

Yep i was replying to naffen and snake

Just a few ideas for RP:
See how an SCP thoughts change
Are certain SCPs still hostile? (096, 173 etc)
Monitor habits (Eg: what if 2295 doesnt help people anymore or does something differently?)

Those are just off the top of my head. Id like to clarify i have no issue what so ever with CI having this my issue is that research dont

I object to people citing CI or staffs "lack of complaints" about the implementation of the Nu-7 Jugg vs this. Nu-7 got this because their reg was frankly on the verge of death and it STILL hasn't rectified all the problems nor been a source of OP clip farming, Johnson has laughed at it more than anything.

This on the other hand is an additional compliment to the very thing the whole server already dislikes about CI's power/potential. Again, to emphasise, the tool on its own is a WONDERFUL addition because it fosters RP based on what it does, but the choice of implementation is, I'm sorry, poor.

Also arguing that we raid to steal it...Yeah. CI Base.
 
Could you name the last couple CI oriented updates, that was tailored for them specifically?
If not, could you list the last couple Foundation oriented updates? Anything that requires dev work.

You say the implementation choice is poor, as if we can't add restrictions or make changes to it as it's added.
This happens for every update on every game ever, including this server.
We'll add something, we'll wait for it to be used for a couple weeks, gather feedback. Is it too OP? Is it worsening peoples general enjoyment? If so we'll alter it, nerf it or add restrictions. Is it underpowered? Buggy or too restrictive? We'll buff it and make altercations to make it usable and effective.

You guys need to wait and let this actually play out for proper changes to be made. The only idea so far was "GIVE IT TO FOUNDATION!" as if CI can't do the research RP foundation would do with it. They will just take more time to ascertain SCPs in order to do it, thus creating a wider range of possibilities.

Off the top of my head, there hasnt actually been an update only 1 side has gotten pretty big changes with. Again, big updates only.

A question from me, was this even considered for Rsd?

Last 2 for F by my reckoning are Jugg and Janitor. Maybe my metric is wrong and there was another between jugg and janitor though
Last 2 for CI are probably this and dimension? That or a gun balance?

As I said to @Niox in the mess-hall, I fully trust that there are some in CI who are going to make phenomenal roleplay with this. I know for a fact buddy is salivating at the mouth to do roleplay with the Type GREENs over this and I know he'll cook. My concern is more the direct correlation it has to breaching related combat, given the fact that is still currently out of control. If that WEREN'T the case, I'd have 0 ground to stand on and be excited for the update fully cause it's just a cool addition to the loop.

I will apologise and instead go for a wait and see approach though, I suppose. It'll depend a lot on how CI use it, which is fair enough, but I am just very cautious over this. It's probably exacerbated by the 2 hour long C5/C1 cycle me and Steven had to deal with two days ago, which gave me a big headache.
