What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion would add a feature that obfuscates players in-game names, and adds an option to 'Introduce yourself' in the new E Menu, along with a rule change so that if you're introduced to someone, you can use the name above their head without it being classed as metagaming.

Adding on, public roles, such as Sr. CL4 roles, would have their name introduced to everyone, due to the fact that they would be known by a majority of site as they're in a high and public position.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I believe something similar was denied in the past, however with the current culture of the server and the new introduction of the E menu, I feel as if this would be a good suggestion.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Allows for more in-character meetings.
Would allow for people to know other people's names without it being classed as metagaming.
More immersive for players

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
I really can't see any negatives.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
This suggestion should be accepted as it would allow for more immersive roleplay, reduce the impact of metagaming and would generally improve the quality of life on the server.

+1 honestly its metagame to use the names already, but as you know that won't stop people. However I think a number assigned to each player on join (1-128, using the lowest available number first), that displays above their head, would be useful to have as well purely for reporting purposes, dev time being the only major concern if names are obfuscated this way

Sure this would add more immersion but with the current state the server is in RP wise I don't think this is ready to be added yet. Currently, it would get in the way of site operations as right now the server is more Semi-Serious and a little more combat/mechanic focused in my opinion. Doing this server wide for something like SIte-9 I would be fine with or when Site-65 returns to Serious RP or becomes a lot more roleplay based again.

Although, I wouldn't be against trying this out on the civilian faction first and seeing how that works out. Since the civilian faction usually does RP interactions with other GOIs when it isn't just a mayor ordering rangers to kill people. It would also add to that SCP feel that Pinewood has and possibly promote more roleplay with the civilian faction.
