Opinion on the form-based applications -like seen on staff apps (SCP-RP & MRP)

To me they just clear out the wankers who don't put effort in, use AI, or just don't understand the DPT.

Although I do like that you are made to add a section about Lore and Storylines, that part to me is the only good/interesting part. An issue I would have actually is that it doesn't extend over to Regimental CL4 roles like LT or DELCOM. I believe this is how it used to work? And I don't think the process should be purely application based, I think you should still have to get to CSG, 1SGT, Delta, whatever, then make an application of the sorts that just shows your understand of the Regiment, alongside Lore/Storylines for your character, because this is an RP server after all, and Regimental Leaders are RP Leaders for lower ranks.

and not once of i heard of a MTF CO creating lore for their RP character

I'd much prefer to have everything done on an in game setting. Your character going through a storyline and managing a departments issues well, at the end of that road you get offered a promotion for all your hard work. Would give greater engagement to be honest. But thats not going to work with how Site-65 currently runs and is too deep rooted.

The forms were added to reduce error in people forgetting to fill out key areas, and also cut down on a lot of the awful formatting too

I don't know about MTF COs, but in GOC you are required to create a lore character before you are promoted to a NCO rank.
