Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
After having spent some time as a doctor, I have come to enjoy being a part of the medical staff more than other jobs I have experienced on the server. I’d love to immerse myself in more medical RP by taking up a leadership role such as Medical Consultant.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
I uphold the rules medical staff are required to follow and try to assist as many people as possible, hoping never to leave anyone unassisted. If I can’t do something for someone I will find another who is better suited to handle the situation. I handle medical situations seriously but also like to be light-hearted in most non-critical situations and try to be as friendly as possible with those around me. I have also helped new doctors how to navigate Sergei's Recipes and how to make medicine.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
Fractured/Broken bone
Someone will enter the medbay mentioning they have a broken/fractured bone or informing medical staff how they can’t switch items or run/jump.
Kindly ask them to follow you to the x-ray machine and have them lay down, once they get up from the machine the screen will show which limb is broken/fractured.
We must remember that the image displayed on the screen is mirrored, so if it looks like the left arm is broken/fractured it’s the right arm.
Then in chat, we type !medic by a medical cabinet and a screen will appear, you may make your medication or buy your own. You’ll have to look closely to find the proper medication, making sure it says “right arm” or “left leg” depending on the broken/fractured limb.
After buying or assembling the medication, you’ll give it to the patient and they will be able to move freely once again.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
Medical Consultants are responsible for training new doctors and being mentors, answering questions as needed. Watching over medical staff and medbay, ensuring everyone is following the code of conduct and medical rules. Medical consultants are also expected to assist patients in the various operations within medbay.
Please Give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in?
Zyon “Orca” has always been interested in biology, human anatomy, and physiology and was lucky enough to study the basics of it in high school. Once she graduated from high school, she was accepted into Harvard University, continuing her studies to become a renowned doctor. She excelled in her studies and graduated in the top 10.
Using her medical abilities, “Orca” wanted to do more than just be a doctor, so she became a medic for the US Navy, where she served for 6 years. Eventually, she was recognized to be highly proficient by the SCP foundation, which desperately needed more experienced doctors, and she was recruited after going through the trials. They trained her how they trained any other, and she exceeded their expectations.
“Orca” had been medical staff for Site-19 for 5 years, having transferred to Site-65 six months ago. During her time at Site-19, she started as a simple trainee with quite a bit of medical knowledge, quickly growing in the ranks and gaining medical skills. “Orca” has often performed successful surgeries at Site-19, and she’s even an experienced combat medic, having assisted in fighting against raids and breaches.
After talking briefly with the department director, “Orca” promised to work just as hard for Site-65 as she did with Site-19. “Orca” plans to provide medical assistance to everyone from the Foundation who needs it at any time. She will always do her best to provide excellent medical treatment and always carry the cure for typical infections (Flu, Sinus, Cold, etc.). In the past few months at Site-65, “Orca” has grown the ranks in medical quite quickly, joining HH-3 and making a name for herself. She’s made many friends and acquaintances and has developed more skills than ever before.
