What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I've held/hold different roles that give me a much broader view of the facility alongside having Sr CL4 experience and Jr CL4 Experience under my belt, I personally think this has allowed me to see points of view from different angles and I have been able to understand how many people see situations, both as Director of Medicine and as times on my IA operative "Callum 'Orrical' Mitchell" I know how to help lead personnel and I know how to create RP and help others in RP situations, I know when to take things seriously and when things are a lot more relaxed. I think I have the right know-how on how to be an Ethics Assistant.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
First and most obvious responsibility of Ethics Assistants is that they are to "Represent the Ethics Commitee"
this boils down into many different things but i'll cover the basics; Attend meetings on behalf of the ECM you represent, pass down orders/potential projects to department leaders that Ethics have deemed necessary. Report to the Committee the ongoings of the site and where changes have occurred and situations have arised in order for them to remain up to date without risking themselves. Help create documents and forms as requested by the ECM you represent.
As an assistant you must complete ALL orders given to you by the Ethics Committee, whether that is passing on information or creating files that they need done, depending on the severity/danger level of the order given to you, you can utilise O-1 to help assist you and keep you safe (as long as it is purely for EC orders)
It is very important as a CL4 personnel to be able to create and Lead RP effectively on site, this is no exception for an Ethics Committee Assistant, you must be able to Lead and create RP that is suitable for your station, keeping Ethics working with other departments is very important in order for everyone to have the most fun, a dysfunctional/inactive Assistant will not provide any help at all.
There are going to be times where the site has SCP Breaches (Who could've thought) but depending on the severity of the breaches, you may be called upon as an Assistant to other AA if no one else is on that can authorise it, this should only be done during Code 5 Status and as long 2 or more Euclid/Keter SCPs have breached and the breach is taking longer than expected, this can be authorised for MTF NCO+ however E-11 will always take priority.
It is important as an assistant to always be alert and attentive when going around the site on behalf of the Ethics Committee , if subjects are mentioned that the Committee needs to know about, then the assistant will need to always ready to report what they find back to Ethics.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Callum Mitchell was born in the year of 1997 in the United Kingdom in the city of London. Callum had an extremely easy childhood being able to have all the time he wanted to study what he wanted and to master what he wanted, the law was incredibly fascinating to him and this would help him realise what life would be like without all these rules and laws keeping everything in place. At school Callum was a bit of a tattle-tale, he always reported misbehaviour and always made sure to follow rules to the letter, almost like some sort of "golden child" and this would continue throughout his educational life well on into when he turned 18 years old. When he had turned 18 he had attended law school at ██████ in London, he left home and stayed at student accommodation as he thought himself too good for his home and the family he was surrounded with. Callum studied for 3 years at the law school until he left with his LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and was ready to practice as a Lawyer.
1 year later
Callum was handling a case he was assigned in regards to someone not paying their parking tickets, another mundane case that Callum was going to lose because the prosecution had all the evidence they needed to put his client away, Callum lost his temper and dropped his client quickly trying to find something more to do with his life, he saw an article for a military base in Canada looking for Legal support, Callum had no license in Canada but thought he might aswell as the worst they could do was say no. Callum flew off to Canada to meet with the representative of this military base he was being assigned to, they wanted Callum to work in what was called "Internal Affairs" Callum saw the pay and saw the conditions he would need to agree to "No contact with the outside world" "No more contact with friends, family and other relatives" and that his ID would be "replaced" with one they created for him. At this point Callum had already cut off his family and had nothing else luring him back to London, so he agreed. Callum worked in Internal Affairs for another 4 years handling all of the violations he had witnessed and all the members of personnel that had broken worse rules than that, when he first joined Callum knew it wasn't a military base but that did not bother him, he saw how much he was keeping people safe and his colleagues safe but enforcing the rules, just like he did back at school. Callum was so thorough and clean with his proceedings on his role that he got an email from an unrecognised email address about a potential "Reassignment to better enforce the FLC" Callum accepted and waited....
