Why are you applying for Director of Research?
I am currently applying for Director as I wish to further my personal career as an researcher in the Foundation, and to ensure that growth inside RSD expands and allows progress to continue. At the current moment RSD is facing a difficult point in it’s history with new policies being enacted and a larger interest in RSD from a general populace.
I wish to help ensure that the changes move smoothly and with less fuss, to do this it’ll be easier from a Director standpoint. During my career as an Executive I helped lead RCPT as a manger to place orders, track funding and ensure Members would meet their quota.
-
What makes you suitable for Director of Research?:
I’ve held executive of RSD for little under 2 months and in that time i’ve helped ensure any issue was dealt with promptly and swiftly. I’ve been forced to deal with issues which would otherwise be the responsibility of the director e.g. alerting SA of specialists permissions and furthering understanding, working with e-11 to create a sampling document which works for both parties, etc. After dealing with these various issues I do believe I could handle any issue thrown at me whilst as director.
I held a leadership position in RCPT as management and ensured things moved smoothly,
Experience in Roleplay/Planning large scale events.
-
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?:
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in:
“Paul Von Fredson has always held a definitive and ever expanding interest in chemical production, from a young age when first given a “Jr Chemistry Playset” a random Christmas morning by his parents. The next morning he was transfixed, obsessed with all the varying concoctions he could make, granted these consisted of slime and bubbles but he was caught for life.
Originating from noble backgrounds, university was never an issue but “where” was settling for the highest chance of discovering something new he chose Oxford. But soon grew tired, granted he learned all he wanted, formulas, operational procedure, theories but the more he learnt the more he realised…there wasn’t anything new. He grew enraged by this, shattering vials closest to his dorm, tearing papers as if it would enlighten the world with undiscovered compounds. He calmed his temper and decided no matter what he’d suck it up and stayed for the full four years to achieve his DPhil in Chemistry earning his title of Dr Paul von Fredson.
He left swiftly thereafter, searching the globe obsessed with the unknown. Anything from news stories, magazines, crazed internet story’s. On his travels he saw it all, and even spent time with a remote group of dragonoids learning to the best of his ability their tongue and now speaks it semi fluently. After leaving this encampment the foundation grew wind of this mad chemist searching the globe and promptly hunted him down and offered him a position as junior inside the foundation.
As a junior he would dive headfirst into anything to fulfil his goal to achieve a compound he could call his own, something unique. After many months of sleepless nights and an ever growing dent in the sofa he raised through the ranks, from junior to researcher, then senior and as of right now executive. He grew interest in a subdivision named RCPT (Research Chemical Production Team) and promptly grew into a management position. But the search doesn’t stop, he must further his career to truly understand every known secret, to advance into the unknown abyss of knowledge, to understand the abomination’s and wonders of the foundation better than he’d know himself…”
He’d be likely to interact in creating new chemical concoctions
Dealing with a very specific type of dragonoid (ones that speak thuum).
Injecting SCP’s with differing concoctions to discover new cures for certain ailments.
And of course a little bit of advancing combative chemicals.
