What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number)
O5-1.
I find a sense of genuine joy and fun as being a member of the council already and want everyone else to have fun in the server as well. Within reason, of course.
I feel that moving up to -1 would allow me to conduct my duties in a way that would provide entertainment to the server as a whole with a much greater degree of fine-tuning.
What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?
I have spent the entire year up until this point either as a member of The Council, or as someone who directly serves it. I know the ins and outs, the politics that go into running the foundation alongside the Ethics Committee, and whatever I don't already know lore wise, I take the time to read and ensure that I act accordingly depending on any given situation I am presented with.
Secondly, I have served as the direct assistant and advisor to two previous Chief Overseers and worked closely with both of them on a myriad of major decisions and projects alike.
Lastly, As an OSA and O5 council member, I displayed consistent activity and a welcoming, interactive nature. I also displayed a general willingness to play my part in the various storylines that have occurred during that time. I will not say by any means that I was, or still am perfect, but I am willing to learn from my mistakes and push forward despite them.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?
The Overseer Council...
Operates the Foundation from the highest echelons of its command structure, doing so strictly from the shadows, utilizing false names or fake identities if they are forced to act in public.
Engages with all levels of the foundation, providing tasks for various departments to undertake, resulting in the creation of roleplay and interaction.
Interacts with the Ethics Committee and Site Administration in matters of Foundation Command, balancing a delicate political balance between themselves, and those who have taken a more ethical path.
Engages in diplomacy with other roleplay leaders belonging to GOIs, partially to work toward a desired outcome in-character, and partially to work toward a collectively desired outcome for the server as a whole.
Utilizes their Assistants for clerical work or meetings that their presence would not be required for or otherwise could result in their harm, to sign documentation requiring the approval of O5 (Site Inspection in this case), and create orders for Assistants to participate in whenever they are not actively accompanying an Overseer.
Provides commands to Alpha-1 and uses them for combative matters of extreme importance or otherwise requiring utmost secrecy, also generating orders for them to follow in the absence of an Overseer for them to guard.
Maintains the chain of command, generally avoiding direct intervention or subtle intervention with matters delegated to other groups in the foundation. A steady hand is required in such matters, as to ensure that players are able to follow their gameplay loops, we should largely be letting departments handle what they do best, and only stepping in when required, or when it would best suit the roleplay scenario that is actively occurring.
Utilize ERT in emergency situations, as well as the detonation of the onsite nuclear warhead in the event of a catastrophic breach.

The Chief Overseer....
Maintains command over Alpha-1, red right hand, and as of the current moment, as per an agreement between the prior -1 and Chairwoman, the Chief is the only one who can authorize hostile actions by A-1 against the Ethics Committee members themselves.
Maintains Command over the Overseer Council in all their duties.
Maintains contact with [REDACTED] to receive the occasional Order.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?)
The Overseer Council...
Votes upon oncoming Site Directors.
Votes upon OSA applications.
Votes upon the Commander of Alpha-1.
Votes for and provides insight on elevation requests when Council Seats are empty.
Collectively decide on changes needed to be made to the Code of Conduct and communicates with the Ethics Committee on proposed changes to the Foundation Legal Codex.
Plan missions, operations, orders, and event lines that impact various GOIs or Departments in the server.
Acts as a step in the process of appeals made from a strike/demerit issued by Site Administration, and votes on whether or not these appeals should be approved or denied, to which they are usually then taken to SL.
The Chief Overseer....
Makes the final decision on all voting processes, taking into account the counsel of the members of the council as the decision is being made.
Manages the briefing process of new Overseers.
Maintains the O5 roster and deals out punishments to members of the council in the form of strikes or removals in the event that they break the O5 guidelines.
Maintains communication with Roleplay Leadership in order to ensure that quality roleplay can spread throughout the site.

It has begun.
After the recent raid, and subsequent capture of the previous Chief, I ventured into the command center in an attempt to contact the rest of the council to discuss a plan.
They are all... dead.
All of them except for Thirteen.
And, well.... he won't return my communications request.
So. Without any other course of action to be had, I will step up to the task.
The Foundation needs a Chief.
I will fill that role, at least until another can be found.
I hope my file made it to.... him.
