What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

Add in a stamina bar for sprinting and jumping

Listen, just hear me out ok.
One problem that I think contributes to a lack of serious RP is trying to get places as quick as possible with no focus on the in-between. A stamina bar solves this issue.
Not only does it psychologically get people to walk for not wanting to explode their stamina bar, but also allows for conversations with others between destinations instead of running past trying to get to whatever it is you're doing.
And if you need to get somewhere with urgency, you still can. It just reinforces more realism than "everyone is a marathon level sprinter"
This solves issues of endless SCP chases trying to catch up to whoever is running from an SCP. It also solves issues of bunnyhoppers and combat jumping, because they would be limited by stamina rather than the ruleset, leading to overall less ruleplay.
While I foresee a negative reaction from the community, I think it would be overall beneficial to creating a more serious RP atmosphere.

Rework player movement to be more realistic

What do I mean by this?
I mean reworking the movement to be more forward perspective oriented. The ability to instantly change direction on a whim is not only unrealistic, but actually makes combat less skill based and more movement oriented. I shouldn't be able to sprint in every direction instantly and simultaneously.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I was not able to find such a suggestion.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Less Ruleplay
- More immersive and realistic

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Would likely significantly change the combative dynamic of the server
- Probably unpopular because people like their instant and infinite movement.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Overall, it would benefit the roleplay of the server to have movement that is immersive and realistic.
People would be forced to develop their characters, and actually act like real people instead of running everywhere.

Having realism edits like these is great and all, but gameplay feel > realism. This would feel awful across the board.

@Yeke @Rushi

I know this was already something that was posted in the polls section of the discord, but the net positives you gain out of something like this heavily outweigh absolutely everything else.

For instance:

More thought put into combat between GOIs (prioritizing cover, etc)
No more needless jumping around like a monkey
Actually walking around instead of just W+Shift keying around every corner like your life depends on it

Negatives:

ADHD deprived individuals can no longer spam their favorite jump/run keys

Is it worth dividing your community over something that already has negative reception via polls?

Suggestion Denied.

Hi @Marvin Garden

Thank you for making a suggestion.

After reviewing this and also discussing this with the community, it is apparent that although there are benefits in forms of "immersion" / "realism", unfortunately after polling the community is significantly against this idea and as such I cannot go forward with this at this time per the added poll which resulted in a 59% majority not wanting the change.

Thankyou for taking the time to write a suggestion however.

Kind Regards
Yeke
