What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion changes how inventory stashes work, by allowing privately shared stashes. Currently to my understanding the only way that you are able to stare a stash is to share it to the entire public, which of course just means everyone can steal. Instead, there should be an option to allow your stash only to be visible to certain players, so that a specific group of people have access to one stash that is shared.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
To my knowledge, this has not been suggested before.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
1) Easier organization between friend groups. If a group of people were to start a group, for example a group of chefs were to band together and sell foods they could all be sharing the same inventory stash, allowing the players that are offline to still help out the group in creating food, by pre-filling food within the container to help the chefs that are on.
2) Chemicals would be easier to store in groups for regiments, as you could use the shared stash as a deposit. For groups that need chemicals (A1, O1, O5, Ethics, Research, Medical, MTF) the common way is to store all the required chemicals in a fridge. This is good, but it means that the steps to make the chems are usually dispersed in people containers, and you need the people that have certain requirements to make the chemicals on, and this inventory sharing system would remove that, allowing for groups that make chemicals to have easier access to all the different ones required to make a certain chemical, for example a stash could have 323 and 8854 inserted into the stash from multiple people, so when someone is making anima they wouldn't need every person who has the requirements to be on. This is just for the prerequisite chemicals, and not to store the final version that the groups need.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
1) Trading at a far distance would be easier, as the trade command got limited to a certain range, the addition of shared inventory stashes would essentially break that system, and people would be able to trade guns from a far distance if they were both close to inventory stashes.
2) If a friend group were to suddenly break up, a person could steal all the chemicals or food from that shared inventory, leaving everyone who had access to it upset that their work is gone.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I believe that this suggestion should still be accepted even though the negatives are harmful, because of the potential use that it adds to groups within the server, allowing for mass creation of certain items without the need for other players to be on, which pauses progress heavily if they are not able to get on that day. It is also useful for groups that are selling and buying items, as they are easily able to depot the bought item without having to worry about needing to get on later if someone requires it when they're not on. I also believe that the negatives can be worked around, as if the shared stash was limited to just that certain inventory stash, ae if the shared stash is created in ECW, only the ECW stash can be used to access the shared inventory, that the potential negatives listed could be avoided.
