What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion proposes adding a Radio Host job, which would allow players to operate a radio station on the surface. The role would include playing music, making fictional news announcements, hosting talk shows, and more. It introduces an official way to roleplay a radio station within the server’s RP framework.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
not to my knowledge

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
-It would help limit the number of unofficial radio channels used for music, giving players who want a music/radio role an official, RP-compliant option.
-It enables better oversight and regulation of radio content. By making the job whitelisted, it becomes easier to enforce rules, maintain quality, and prevent abuse—similar to a real radio station.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- people could still just play music on the radio regardless of the job

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
This suggestion should be accepted because it adds depth and realism to RP on the server. A dedicated Radio Host job provides structure for players who want to contribute with music or creative content in an immersive, in-character way. While I considered tying the job to Foundation or CI roles (e.g., CI running a pirate radio with anti-Foundation propaganda), I believe it fits best as a civilian role. Making it whitelisted would ensure quality and control, further enhancing the RP experience.

93.1 DOUG FM SUPPORTS THIS. Job bloat this job bloat that. Having 1-2 extra roles ain’t gonna change much. And having a dedicated channel would help so people aren’t spamming their mic into the radio as well.
