Partially Accepted Reduce dimension timer

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Remove the timer for how long you can be inside the dimension (MC&D mostly) from 5 to 2-3 minutes.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Probably, but I'm too lazy to check.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Gives an actual fighting chance for MTF in case any sort of CI raid happens.
Reduces the amount of breaches, which leaves more time for actual RP to happen.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
CI complaints. They'll have to find another way to get into the deeper workings of HCZ if they get knocked out early into their raid.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
As it currently goes, CI can go from THEIR BUNKER all the way down to 008/682 without any hinderance given that they have a keycard. I get it that dimensions are cool to use, but it's just stupid that one group can go from their spawn, all the way into the deepest depths of HCZ. It's just outright stupid to be able to do that. If we're to encourage a more roleplay centered gameplay loop, the way things are going with the dimensions is not the correct way to go.

as someone who used MC&D dimension in his raid as CI, they're just way too OP. if you have a CL4 no matter how many doors are closed you can just walk past them with all of your raid force to reactor, 008, F3 etc. Reducing timers would be a good step to balance them however i think if this isn't to be accepted add more ways to counter dimensions overall

MC&D Capsules (or whatever they are called) are worth 30k which is a lot and cannot be done every raid. It is also yes possible to get a straight shot to HCZ, but you need to be perfectly on point to get to HCZ which with CI does not happen often. It is just too expensive to only be 3 minutes and is an unneeded nerf imo.
30k can be got from two hostages ci take hostages regularly it’s not a lot of money in that aspect.

Two Cl4 hostages which is not easy to get because they all usually hold cyanide, have a panic button, will shoot you, or just all of the above and you will get called out. You also have to realize these DELCOM's who recieve money for the hostages also give money for when CI get kidnapped.

They can easily just revive kidnap or get 3 cl3s and then say hey guys we are gonna use this money to raid from the dimension

From the way it went so far, there is no possible way for SOP to react or counter a dimension raid, as they can enter an area, get what they want, take hostages, leave without being caught, and no one can do a thing. The Foundation having one cartographer job is not a counter due to how big the Foundation is, and it also being a paid job for reality anchors means they can easily dodge it, and the cooldown for it is too long.
 
The pricing would have to be nerfed 100%, if not then no.
30k? That’s a lot of money, more than how much a CI COM is even worth, and 5k more than a freedom. It is definitely worth the time for its price.
Although, it still just isn’t fun. Yes, its price equates to its worth, but it is extremely powerful, and you can get to anywhere without being detected.

Unless we are doing a F2 hold (We do max 2 a day) we likely aren’t kidnapping any CL3’s.
me when the one raid goes successful.... nerf it now!!!!

I do believe that 30k is a reasonable amount for what it does. I personally couldn't pay for this thing once every day, but CI is big and people can collect money from more than one guy obviously. Though, I also feel like it is too strong even though getting to 008 (In my experience) requires speed chems, very good communication and coordination, good elevator "RNG" etc.

Reducing its time by half and cutting its cost in half would be a sensible nerf. It would force CI to either make a pitstop and setup another portal (Which would make them vulnerable for the duration) and allow Foundation to actually push if CI was spotted/noticed, or force CI to push through without setting up another dimension.

I prefer a way of counteracting the dimension though, not too sure how but either by stopping/hindering CI in the dimension or actually giving Foundation a means of detecting if CI are inside the dimension. Right now it's only "Oh, this door opened by itself. It must be CI in the dimension!", or "Chemicals magically appeared in front of me and disappeared!", but having tools for detection would atleast give Foundation time to react and maybe setup. Maybe make it so Scrantons show individuals silhouettes when they walk through the bubble while in the shadow dimension? This makes scrantons valuable, as they will either reveal if CI is walking through a choke point, or make them wait and waste precious time. Idk probably too complex/impossible to code but I'm not smart enough for that anyways and the whole point of this dimension is the undetectable nature of it sooo, yeah.
