What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Remove the Media Room
Remove half of the height on the GM plane
Remove PW Offices in front of ISD
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not to my knowledge.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
These rooms are unused, and will free up map brushes.
SA Offices are getting their makeover, and with map adjustments these rooms have no use.
Vertical height will be less of an issue in map editing software.
Their purposes can be applied almost anywhere else. Media room with white plastic props, GM plane you can just lower your dupe with an offset (it is incredibly high right now), PW Offices already have nearly no use beyond SA.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Mapper time is an issue.
Less accessible offices may be seen as a detriment to freedom of RP before further updates.
Mildly more linear path and less hidey spots in EZ and PW.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I feel it should be accepted as it is a genuine fact that despite much discourse over some of these rooms, they see such disuse that many don't even acknowledge the rooms whenever they're on the server. As for GM plane, it is genuinely so tall that there is almost no change to dupes, if GMs built that high they would just need to lower their dupes via the offset a bit.
SA offices getting their update means we don't need the PW offices. They have a cool shape on one of them, but are awkward otherwise. The 3 rooms connected just have no real niche after the tech expert spawn was updated.
Media Room was used for a museum for a week or two, it was occasionally used for one-off RP (such as using it to recontain SCP-096 once via displaying an image to a D-Class in the room). That's just about it in the entire time I've been on the server.
