What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

Reverts the hacking notification to pre-update as soon as possible for server health. This will make it so that instead of E-11 just getting a general notification to where a hack is happening, they will receive an exact location of where a hack is happening. The only exceptions will be if the SCPs being hacked out are:

457
096
9000s
912
966
173

In these hyper-specific scenarios, E-11 will only be given a general hacking notification as to not completely get rid of the new code for general notifs.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

This update just came out.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):

1. SCP-035 doesn't become the most overpowered SCP in the game
2. Chaos Insurgency Deepcovers don't just get free hacking containment breaches.
Prior, even when there were exact location pings for SCP hacks, it was still worth it to attempt the hack with the reward of possibly causing a containment breach / chaos. Now, it's literally idiotic not to hack stuff, as you can hack something like 8837 or 966 or 049 or 939s or 106 and nobody would have any way of knowing without individually clearing the entire sites CCs, with many being gigantic in nature... And you can do a hack in like 2 minutes... Entire SCP containment breaches that are put on a 2 hour 30 minute cooldown for balance are freebies now.
3. SCP-035 doesn't become the most overpowered SCP in the game.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:

CI or SCPs become a little underwhelming? Still, this is how it's supposed to be. As someone who loves SCPs, they're supposed to be the underdogs that get hellfire thrown their way in beams that make them walk like they're walking through mud; and big ass LMGs / Mini-guns, and nitro & nerve gas, the microsecond so much as a 457 CBs, and have every little dirty trick used against them... Because it makes it feel so much cooler when you can actually cause a code black despite that. To me, the removal of these pings feels like cope from someone caused it. Cope from CI, cope from SCPs, something.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

pls don't kill roleplay. if this stays, roleplay is going to die in a fire and codes will be blaring 24/7 instead of 23/7... Something like this shoulda had a community vote

There were many ideas. With this update e11 lost a major part of their gear with absolutely zero warning. It went from having a somewhat overpowered tool, to having an extremly underpowerful tool which has just turned this server into combat Rp.

The change itself feels like a cope change, where e11 were smashed with a brutal nerf.

Its been barely 24 hours we need to see how these things work out balance wise before making any major chances
Maybe better if it where to say "Hacking in LCZ" or "Hacking in Lower HCZ" but not a full reversion
And as much as i really hate to say it, UK E11 does not have this problem 9 times out of 10, ive been there but for US its just a case of running more trainings, scenarios and getting the reg into a better shape

-support you getting a notification is enough just listen for hacking in HCZ

I've never been in E-11 . Ever. I only play RP jobs & SCPs primarily; in fact I primarily play 035 ironically enough.

Fair point. If this isn't accepted, I'd love that as someone who literally only benefits from this recent E-11 nerf, but E-11 has been the sameish for around 6-12 months, they aren't proactively trying to improve / be self-sufficient like UKs E-11.

I agree that it is a little too easy to cause a mass breach now that the specific SCP isn't called out on the hack - but I believe that US E-11 has become accustomed to the specific-SCP system and their RP has tanked as a result. E-11 doesn't have to patrol HCZ when they can just instantly know when and where something is being breached.

If they were to make it so, say, there had to be less than 5 or 6 E-11 for pinpoint hacking callouts to be made, I would say this would be a win for all parties - E-11 is encouraged to roam and do what they were meant to when they are high in numbers, and CI or a rogue D-Class can't instantly overwhelm the 1 or 2 E-11 active.

I say this because in my time as CI, I don't see roaming packs of E-11 in HCZ very often when attempting to cause a breach. They are always stationed at one of the checkpoints or are in their bunks. Once we start the hack, the zombie horde begins. By the time we get to HCZ in high pop, we are generally whittled down to a >~6 man group anyways, and the rest of foundation will have heard the call that hacking is in HCZ, so it should be easy pickings from there.

E-11 having hacking notifications is really strong, it's even stronger to have them know your exact IP address, legal name, GPS coordinates, social security number, and date of birth because you pressed LMB on a box. Like what RedMann said maybe "Hacking in HCZ" or "Hacking in LCZ" to help identify which SCPs *may* be being hacked out would be nice, but from what I have seen, the UK servers Epsilon-11 runs perfectly fine and can handle hacking of SCP boxes with or without the notifications (as in handling things before they become an issue).

I spoke with the last 2 US E-11 COMs, Spaghetti and Varr, about how to improve security in HCZ (stationing people at more than primary and not AFKing!!!! Secondary exists!!!!), and it has fallen completely on deaf ears. This is not the fault of any server function, or CI/D-Class players, it is solely the fault of Epsilon-11 Leadership refusing to change. I have seen several times where Nu-7 and DEA gets called in to handle a CI raid in HCZ and E-11 don't even bother responding because they are too busy at checkpoint.

Also, as for the first claim, about loadouts. 100% false, let me explain:

Operative - A standard operative loadout, really solid for a starter regiment, especially compared to the Nu-7 Operative loadout (the FHR is really good)

Bio. Spec. - Its util comes in its ability to be immune to 008 and partially immune to 049, as such it has slightly weaker gear for a specialized purpose.

Cont. Spec. - The only actually "weak" E-11 job, I feel like it needs more util and a better weapon to be more than "Operative + Beam"

Breacher - m249 shreds through CI juggs like actual tissue paper, there's a reason Nu-7 don't have it (Too OP). The Typhoon-12 is underwhelming, but the m249 is insanely strong to account for this fact + rumors the Typhoon might get rebuffed have been spreading since the removal of the Containment Specialist job

Officer - QBZ-97. Need I say more?

Commander - MSBS. Need I say more?

Any complaints about loadouts is purely E-11 soy, I would kill to have whitelists like these in Nu-7.

The "old "system was ass and required no effort from foundation, just dont pay attention to anything until you get a notification that something is getting hacked and then just hold the W key, and even if you die you can just respawn in hcz lol, for me personally it made attempting breaching scps not even worth the effort

Like previously stated, you getting the notification is more than enough, the hacking is way too loud as it is

I'm surprised but very glad it was changed

I dont know how to properly articulate how I feel about this but what RedMann said is a good start. Main reason for -Support is just due to how easy it was and the lack of input needed for identifying what was needed to be dealt with.

- Support, before I left E-11 I would say if 5 hacks happened, 3 would be stopped before a breach is sucessful. If it is, the hacker dies instantly.
