What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion would reintroduce the juggernaut sprinting mechanic that was previously removed in 2024 - testing it for an amount of time to be determined by content team to see if it has a place in SCP-RP now.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Using the forums search feature in the suggestions section with the key word "Juggernaut", "Sprint", and "Sprinting", I don't believe so as I was unable to find a thread on it.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
•A previously liked mechanic could now be balanced with all factions having a jug.
•Different dynamic for raids, with Nu-7 jug being able to respond to raids quicker (god PLEASE push with the jug though).
•SCPs that have a difficult time with higher health enemies would still be able to deal with jugs due to the sprint speed being slower than the UNGOC Orange Suit.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
•It's possible that this could still be unbalanced, even with all factions of the server now having a jug.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I'm suggesting this as there is now the Nu-7 Jug which would also benefit from this. I tried to ask Auburn if that was a factor in the removal of it last year (please respond to DMs :c) was due to F not having a Jug and in turn it was imbalanced towards CI, but I never got an answer.
However, having played during that time, I remember that the gameplay for jug was a lot more enjoyable, but understandably not entirely balanced due to F not having one.
This test would see how the gameplay would play out with Nu-7 now having a jug. One of the main problems is if the Nu-7 jug dies, it has to walk all the way to where the action is. Slowly. And the site is big.
With all jugs being able to sprint again, the previous mechanic could now be balanced and raids could be dealt with quicker, leading to the resuming of regular roleplay.
I promise combat isn't 100% of the reason for this suggestion! I do actually believe this would allow for raids to end sooner.
EDIT: Good point from Starfox, if it's able to be done the stamina drain from MRP could also be applied to jugs as a balancing measure for this.
