Why are you applying for Director of Research?: I believe I am a serious RPer who would bring an extra level of professionalism and seriousness to the Research Department. I would also like to support Engallagher with his departmental improvements

What makes you suitable for Director of Research?: I am methodical in my research and tests, supportive of lower ranked researchers. Relatively knowledgeable on all sentient SCPs and specialise in biological threats and entities, I always strive to maintain a professional attitude and do my best to help anyone whenever I can.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?: To co-ordinate with Floor 3, ethics and site administration, plan projects, designate project leads, assist executives in their research projects. Advise and discipline those in the research department. Grading documents, is responsible for grading exemplary documents, hosts meetings for the executive researchers, performs administrational roles within the department, in charge of hiring executive researchers and is responsible for co-ordinating with all site departments and UNGOC.

Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in: Richard has always been fascinated by science. At 10 years old he got a junior scientists playset for Christmas as well as a microscope. He majored in biology and infectious diseases at Cambridge college. Since joining the Foundation he has tried to lead the way in understanding Humanoid entities, with a particular interest in SCPs-049 and 082. One of the reasons for his effectiveness as a researcher is that be it a fellow researcher, D class or SCP he tries to treat them with respect, finding it far easier to deal with more dangerous entities with this approach. He strives to pave the way with a greater understanding of the entities the SCP foundation with a goal to create a safer environment for the World as a whole.
Since becoming an executive Richard has worked on projects designed to improve containment, specifically SCP-049 and is working to understand the neurological links between SCP-049 and it's -2 instances, has created an onboarding lecture designed to improve the knowledge of Junior researchers entering the department.
As a Director of research Richard would do his best to ensure the Foundation is in the best possible position to secure new anomalous entities. Seek to improve current containment protocols, and maintain the secrecy that the Foundation requires to do it's job properly by reducing the amount of breaches that occur.
