What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I am the best candidate for an ECA role as I have a plethora of experience in a wide range of roles, from document writing as I crawled my way up to the rank of Executive Researcher twice over; to fighting in the pits of hell against the abominations we are sword to safeguard the world from. I have a wide range of research papers covering a wide range of topics from simple inanimate tests to large scale cross-tests involving several complex entities. Due to these experiences, I have gathered a knowledge base on the ethical requirements and logistics for testing across the site in a variety of situations that puts me above other applicants in this role.
From my perspective, I also believe I have become a recognisable and friendly face across site, encouraging people to perform tests and allowing them to be executed without issue. I strongly believe anyone needing assistance wouldn't hesitate to ask me for any advice.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
Ethics Committee Assistants are the backbone of Site-65, allowing all of our duties to be carried out following the FLC and other site policies to ensure fair but needed treatment of anomalies and personnel alike. In addition to signing off on possibly damaging or unethical tests, ECA's also have a responsibility to attend and assist tribunals to ensure that the personnel of Site-65 are fairly punished for any major wrongdoing on site and further instances of these wrongdoings are hampered or eradicated.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Starting off as a lowly Jr. Researcher at Research Site-61 in Yorkshire, England, Rion had already developed a knack for understanding xenobiological anomalies such as SCP-4612-B which was housed at Site-61. After creating a research paper which allowed Foundation staff to change the containment procedures of SCP-4612-B to be recategorised as a safe class anomaly by the Foundation, Rion was invited a more senior position at Site-65 in Canada; specialising in the xenobiological anomalies contained such as SCP-7722 and SCP-049.
Throughout his time at Site-65, Rion needed several documents to be approved by the Ethic's Committee due to the drastic departure from the standard testing that was often ongoing throughout the site. Although many questions were raised by the Ethics Committee at some of the requirements for the testing that was ongoing (Such as giving D-Class weaponry); all appeared to fall within the bounds of what is considered "ethical" by Foundation standards.
As a result of this ongoing communication with other Ethic's Committee Assistants, Rion decided to apply in order to further push the bounds of what can be considered ethical while at the same time keep the Foundations moral standing in check.
