Overview
Robert Hopkins was born and raised in the Proto-Sarkicism sect of Sarkicism. Following the Vātula order, doing anything to please Nälkä, and to reach Apotheosis.
At the age of fifteen, during a ritual that went wrong due to a reality-bending threat associated with it, the Foundation and the Global Occult Coalition conducted a raid to contain the situation. In the violent pandemonium, Robert chose to beg for his life, resulting in his capture.
After a couple of months of psychological evaluation and rehabilitation, he was given a role as an assistant researcher, while still believing in Sarkicism. Despite his devotion to the cult, he managed to work his way up, becoming a senior researcher after nine years.

Pre-Foundation
Robert’s early years were spent working with his mother, by helping her with the “womanly jobs.” With these jobs, he favored carving symbols, which was a simple job but one that he could do consistently.
He wasn’t as strong as his peers in his tribe, bringing shame to his family of deeply rooted Thamatugists. Against all odds, he was somewhat useful enough not to be sacrificed, because of his skills in writing history.
The Grand Karcist took an interest in Robert’s skills, taking him in to work for him as a scholar, to record rituals but also to write his biography. Given this role, Robert was given the perk of being the first of his tribe to interact with the outside world.
A couple of days before Robert’s 16th birthday, a ritual was set in place for a raid on a broken god church, but during the event, operation “Necromicon Burners” was flying over the coast of [DATA EXPUNGED], a temporary task force comprised of the Global Occult Coalition and MTF Beta-777, code name “Hecate’s Spear,” with him hiding during this raid.
When Robert was found, he convinced an MTF leader into sparing some cult members, leading to his capture at Site-65, where he was given the rank Class-C, with the perk of side jobs, which he chose as assistant researcher, where he began working for the Foundation.

Agent: “Hello Hopkins, I understand that you’re adjusting fine to our site.”
Agent [DATA EXPUNGED] checks a clipboard with information relating to Robert’s case.
Robert Hopkins: “Yes… it wasn’t like how my tribe members suggested it would be.”
Agent: “Could you tell us how you thought it would be?”
A small pause shortly after.
Robert Hopkins: “They told me you guys would most likely ‘torture’ us… in the name of research.”
The agent leans in.
Agent: “We have a better ethics committee than most sites, trust me this is one of the safest sites to be at in your situation…”
After a second, the agent speaks up.
Agent: “Not to say other sites would do that.”
Robert Hopkins: “I got what you meant, don’t worry.”
The agent turns back to the clipboard.
Agent: “Back to the main questions, could you tell me why you were so willing to get captured by the Foundation?”
Robert Hopkins: “I’ve seen what you were doing to my people. I just felt I could figure out a diplomatic solution. Also, I can’t exactly fight…”
Robert looked toward the door while speaking, indicating there was more that wasn’t told.
Agent: “Nothing to be ashamed of, you spoke up for what you stand for.”
The agent flips pages on the clipboard.
Agent: “What do you think of Sarkicism now? You can answer honestly… just don’t commit treason.”
Robert looked back to the door.
Robert Hopkins: “Given the state of things, I don’t think I could answer, but to give the most honest answer, it is leaning towards yes.”
The agent nods.
Agent: “That’s completely fine. Would you like to take a break from the interview and head back to your room?”
Robert Hopkins: “Yes please.”
