What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Oh boy here we go, the monthly 076 rework suggestion.
I decided to actually read 076's lore page and I think I understand more of what Abel is meant to be, a flash in the moment. Btw, 076's name is Abel.
The whole idea of Abel is an extremely strong honorable warrior that is durable, but not proportionally so; Abel is stated to be susceptible to very heavy gunfire, so his constitution is nowhere on par with his strength. His strength and speed, on the other hand, is through the roof according to his page. Abel is stated to be able to penetrate a reinforced door while under assault, cover nearly half a mile in 2 seconds, and even reflect incoming projectiles.
Clearly, Abel's page attests to his main thing being his strength and unrelenting nature, being so solely problematic that a nuclear warhead was necessary at one point. Of course, this cannot be the case for Abel in-game because of balancing issues, but as it stands, he is currently extremely underwhelming.
I am extremely surprised that Abel's ability to manifest different weapons has not been implemented at all in any way. Currently, he only has a sword and that's it. It does decent damage but that's the only thing saving 076 (and hardly at that.) It honestly would not even be that hard to include since you could just give Abel more weapons in his inventory, not necessarily a way to summon new weapons. I like the idea of weapons with different purposes like an Axe to deal with heavily armored targets or small arms to finish off weak targets. You could balance weapons with unique downsides or buffs like an Axe slowing down 076 since it is heavier or a dagger being lighter and letting 076 move faster. You could also include weapon draw times to prevent swapping weapons too frequently to avoid downsides. The Dev team has shown that the current weapon swep they use for some melee weapons (like Reaper's Knife and Candy Cane) has a good degree of creative freedom and can allow Abel more weapons to choose from.
It is also very important that Abel is able to break bulkhead doors, but it is just too slow, especially for the health he currently has (12,000.) I think the fact that all bulkhead-breaking SCPs have the same rate of damage (besides 096) is uncharacteristic, especially in 682's case. For Abel, his health should be reduced to about 10,000 or so, and in turn, his damage to bulkheads is significantly increased. This supports his lore in still being vulnerable and adjusts his strength to more appropriate levels; this also makes 076 a more appealing SCP to breach and breach as.
Another thing is Abel's speed being put on a cooldown. I understand if 076 may have been to difficult to deal with considering his previous permanent speed, but I honestly attribute a majority of that difficulty to bad aim and tracking. I personally think there's a pretty low bar to alot of the MTF regiments and that leads to anything that proves difficult for them being brought down to their level instead of them employing actual strategy and training. I vouch for bringing back Abel's speed permanently instead of being on an ability cooldown; it does not need to be as fast as before, but at the very least faster than the normal player running speed so 076 can catch up to fleeing targets in a short time.
Last thing is that 076 is not a mindless killing machine, but an intelligent killing machine. Abel has demonstrated cool and collective thought and legitimate interests, albeit, in violence and battle. Did anyone even know that 076 can enjoy literature? This opens a lot of opportunities for RP for 076; extended lore pages even describe a passive breach situation. There is a lot in regard to the actual lore that is not considered within the server which makes it sad to see how possible a faithful representation is when you see what GMs are able to do.
With this, I of course suggest an inclusion in IC policy to allowing 076 to passive breach. I also think a change to his CC to resemble a training room or battle arena would largely increase the likelihood of visiting 076, engaging in RP, and falling more in-line with the lore (maybe a bookshelf too.)
Last last thing, 076 should have the fists swep. It may not be the most accurate or beneficial, but I think it would allow for "fairer" fights to occur players decide to (plus funny man is fast and punches.)
(Sidenote: 076's extended lore pages support the fact he is a consistent being throughout his reanimations and retains knowledge from previous "lives," so I think 076 should officially be an exception to NLR if it is not already true.)
This is obviously not a step-by-step guide on how to fix 076. There are always going to be people that do and do not like some changes and that's ok. The pages are also not the Bible; we do not need to follow the lore of any SCP 100% or at all; original variations can be fun and fair. I am not a messiah, but I do hope at least my words on Abel's lore are taken to heart and used to make more appropriate changes in the future.
I may make changes, so stay tuned.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different:
Yes; this is the most recent post I see, and good thing I checked since I had similar ideas before I knew this existed:
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
More 076 RP
076 gameplay variety
More diverse breaches
More options when breaching or planning to breach
Indirect CI buff
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Possibly harder difficult breaches
Dissatisfaction from E11 members
Indirect CI buff
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Abel needs to shine again, and brighter than he did before. His speed and strength are very uncharacteristic in his in-game portrayal and make him not worth breaching most of the time. Providing more possibilities for RP including 076 will lead people to viewing him as less of a guy with a sword and more of a warrior that has respect for very select people.

Denied Thread 'SCP-Overhaul 076'
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
[Alot of SCPs have aged in gameplay, being too basic or what have you making them feel way too bland to fight or too bland to play.
This suggestion will focus on one of the older SCPs on the server being 076.
Right now 076 is very bland as it's whole breach gameplay is running at someone and then swinging as fast as you can click, bullets be damned. It isn't tested on and isn't even sampled.
To fix this I am suggesting using a split off of reality bending powers and balancing to match it, as in lore (not the primary point, just one of)...
