What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
A new failRP staff ruling - As a foundation personnel, you cannot assist someone being arrested by IA / ISD. This includes uncuffing the person, closing doors on the agent, opening doors for the person, etc.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I don't believe so.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- This will lessen the frustration encountered by some players when trying to arrest X, and then player Y uncuffing player X and letting him escape.
- This will also make it more fair for everyone, as breaking the FLC and then having someone help you avoid the arrest is very unjust for others that got annoyed by whatever you broke in the FLC.
- Moreover, if someone escapes an IA agent/operative's arrest, he is most of the time going to be forgotten about, mainly due to the fact (that at least I encountered many times) that when putting in comms "AOS X for ...", the majority of players are going to ignore your message.
- Even if they don't ignore the message, the player can still hide pretty much anywhere in the facility until he will simply get forgotten about, which wouldn't take a lot of time, including the fact that things like breaches and other players getting arrested are going to make IA or ISD players busy.
- It'd also be more realistic if a random dude didn't assist another member of the foundation, as this, in my view, simply shows that you have no interest in roleplay.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- This would probably annoy minges, as they'll know they'll get warned if they attempt to help each other avoid arrests.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
- Because, as seen in the positives, I found a ton of reasons that this suggestion should be accepted. There is barely any negatives, as people who help others avoid arrests mainly do that for their own fun and minging purposes, clearly with no interest in the actual SCP roleplay.
