I want to progress in the research department and further roleplay. Helping new researchers and working together with current ones is a goal of mine in order to make the research department grow to be its best self. I also very much enjoy the core act of researching things and discovering. Recently I have been on a streak of larger-scale projects such as the 914 Index and "Erebus" because I want to add to the available knowledge on these topics, but also partly because I truly enjoyed seeing my hard work pay off.
I am suitable for Executive Researcher because of my creativity and eagerness to learn. Whenever I don't know something, I want to discover more about it. I am also very creative, being able to think of test ideas, new ways to spice up a document or an unique roleplay scenario.
Another reason why I am suitable is my desire to aid people. I love helping people and I believe it is one of my strong points. When a researcher walks up to me asking for feedback or help during a test, I will assist them in a heartbeat. Seeing people start enjoying something I introduced them to makes me feel great and I wish to make sure new players joining Research for the first time have a suitable mentor to guide them on their way.

To date, I have written 6 Excellent-graded documents. These are, in order:
SCP-912 Uniform Study Addendum 1
SCP-860-1 Soil Composition
SCP-914 Index
Project Erebus Add. 1: Foodstuffs
SCP-860-1 Mapping
SCP-049-2 Chemical Interactions

SCP-860-1 Soil Composition
SCP-914 Index
Project Erebus Add. 1: Foodstuffs
SCP-860-1 Mapping
SCP-049-2 Chemical Interactions
A document is graded on a number of different factors and prerequisites. If the document is okay or good in all of these, it will be graded as such. However, an excellent document outshines a normal document:
- A core aspect of an Excellent document is creativity. I believe this to be true based on one of my own documents, namely the 860-1 soil Composition. I took a very "boring" test and described it creatively. An Excellent document therefore has to be, above all else, creative and unique.
- An Excellent document of course has to have all the necessary sections, including but not limited to: cover page, index, SCP information, aims, hypothesis, method, risks and safety measures, required items and personnel, test log, conclusion and sometimes approval. All of these sections must be filled out fully and in detail.
- Thorough examination. A test's results are worthless if you can't analyse them properly, and a document can't be excellent if you don't show your analysis. An Excellent document features a thorough analysis of the results in order to draw a good...
- Conclusion. For many, the core of a document (seeing as most people skip to this page). A good conclusion is vital because it encapsulates your entire test and document in a single section. Being able to draw an accurate, evidence-backed conclusion from your results is key.
- Extra effort. Average documents are named as such because they're average. An Excellent document shows you're willing to go above and beyond for documentation, such as including images and adding subsections or optional sections.
- Practicality. An Excellent document's conclusion directly benefits the Foundation in one way or another, however I also believe that aiding future research is incredibly important as well. For example, my SCP-914 Index documents all possible combinations retrievable from SCP-914 with items from the dispensers. Now, future researchers can base their future tests off of mine without first having to get the prerequisites they need, such as a specific item from 914.
- Professionalism and writing style. I have seen far too many documents written flawlessly except for one small detail: the document is unprofessional. What I mean by this is; writing in the first person outside of the Conclusion or Hypothesis, abbreviating terms the first time they're mentioned without providing a footnote, etc. These small mistakes add up and can detriment how your document looks to a crirtical grader.
- And lastly, readability. This is a personal prerequisite of mine, but I believe documents have to be readable above all else, second only to being creative. If you have a perfect document that is highly analytical and practical but you wrote 45 pages when you really only needed 20, I see that as wasting the time of potential readers. Being able to say the same thing in one paragraph instead of five is also a writing skill, after all.

An Executive researcher has to perform the normal duties of a Clearance Level 4 card holder, namely:
- Opening and closing blast doors during a Code 5
- Manning Breach Shelter during a Code 5
- Manning AA
Alongside these, an Executive has responsibilities within the Research department:
- Grading documents
- Hosting lectures
- Onboarding Jrs.
- Performing tests
- Writing documents
- Approving credit
- Approving tests
- Helping researchers where needed
- Leading projects
- Being a point of contact for RSD with other departments
- Being responsible for your department as a whole whenever there is no DoR onsite
- Assisting in tests
And of course, an Executive also has to create roleplay. Being a CL4 member of one of the more rp-heavy departments, Executives are expected to create roleplay and participate in it.

Hello whoever is reading and/or reviewing this application. I'd like to say that I am currently away from my computer for a few days so I will not be available in-game until I am back. Apologies for the inconvenience.
An interview through discord or teamspeak should still be possible if I get accepted though. Thank you!
Another thing: if you have not seen me in the ~1.5 weeks, it is because I have been on vacation. I will try to get my vtime as soon as possible.
