Hey
@Ober
Thanks for taking the time to make a Ban Appeal.
I will explain the situation with let to your Ban.
A report Came in About players' ERPing, I reviewed a Clip that was presented to me that didn't involve your ERP But one of the players you were playing with.
.I joined the server to find you and 2 others messing around.
You were mic spamming and mixing in 2 occasions.
Following that you were saying inappropriate things singing a song and saying inappropriate words.
Around 2 min later one of the players you were playing with was also saying inappropriate thing and was ERPing. You on multiple occasions are involving yourself within that RP.
You stated that you were taking clips of players engaging in ERP in D-block, which is a good action. However, my issue is that instead of distancing yourself from these players, you were actively role-playing with them, messing around, and annoying other players, which you knew was against the rules.
You claim to be trying to gather proof of players breaking ERP rules, but when you noticed I was online, you didn’t make a report. Instead, you told one of the players, after they used inappropriate language towards others, the following:
"Half of this is ERP. Oh, wait, there’s a Senior Mod on! Stop, stop, stop! A mod is on. Don’t do anything stupid. We’re going to get in trouble."
(I have a clip that supports this statement.)
I watched you and your group for about five more minutes before pulling you aside one by one to discuss the situation and issue appropriate punishments.
During the sit, I questioned you about the incident that occurred in the D-block airlock, and you claimed you weren't involved, which was true. Then, I asked about your recent actions (from 5 to 20 minutes ago). I mentioned I had seen you mic-spamming, mixing, and participating in the ERP, to which you replied that you weren't really involved. So, while you weren't fully engaged, you were still partially involved.
After going back and forth, I decided to issue you a ban for ERP, as, from my perspective, you were participating in and assisting others with their ERP. After I informed you of this decision, you said you were going to gather evidence and call for a sit.
You mentioned again that you have clips and wanted to send them to me.
I replied that I didn't need the clips because I've already seen most of them. after you mentioned the clips for the third time I said I don't care about the clips as I have seen most of the situations already.
You became emotional, but after about ten seconds, you returned to speaking normally.
I then expressed my disbelief in what you said, explaining that when you noticed me, instead of calling a sit, you were helping the rule-breakers by calling me out so they wouldn’t misbehave in my presence.
I issued a two-week ban, but it should have been four weeks. However, due to limitations, I couldn't impose that longer duration.
I hope this clears things up,
A member of SL will review your Appeal and give a verdict as soon as possible.
