What will you do to stop this from happening again:
I’ll be much more careful with the type of RP I engage in and ensure it aligns with the server rules. This was a lapse in judgment that I deeply regret, especially as it's not representative of my usual conduct over my 100+ hours and one year long time on CN's SCP-RP.
I’ve already gone back through the server rules to make sure I have a better understanding, especially regarding escalation and RP boundaries. In the future, I’ll also reach out to staff if I’m ever unsure about what’s acceptable in a given RP situation. I’ll take extra care moving forward to avoid any actions that could be seen as RDM or poor RP.

Why should you be unbanned:
The situation was a mix of poor RP judgment and a misunderstanding of how far I could take my character. I was roleplaying as a D-Class who was confronting people for “talking shit,” which escalated into stabbing them, something I now realize was excessive and against the rules. I also mistakenly attacked a senior admin who was AFK at the time, which made things worse. I’ve genuinely enjoyed being part of CN's SCP-RP community over the past year, consistently engaging in serious and good RP, all I want is a good time for me and others. This incident doesn’t reflect the way I normally play or the respect I have for the server’s rules and playerbase. Thus, I take full responsibility for what happened, and I’ve learned from the experience. I’d really appreciate another chance to prove that I can stick to quality RP (like I have shown to do previously) and follow the rules properly.

My side:
Whilst I was looking in D-Block, I have witnessed him kill a person in the testing line for the reason "You said something about my mother". After that, he has done the same thing on another person. After looking through logs, I have discovered he had also killed 2 more people beforehand, one of them being an AFK Senior Admin (Revolutionary). I have given him a Class A MRDM ban since it was his first MRDM violation.​

I was roleplaying as a D-Class who acted impulsively after being provoked, but I fully acknowledge that the way I escalated the situation, stabbing and killing players, including an AFK Senior Admin, which was a clear violation of the rules. It wasn’t my intention to disrupt the server or ruin anyone’s experience, but I understand that intent doesn’t excuse the impact of my actions.

That said, I truly believe that communities grow stronger when they give dedicated players the chance to learn from their mistakes. I’ve spent over a year and more than 100 hours on this server, consistently engaging in serious RP and following the rules. This lapse in judgment doesn’t reflect the kind of player I usually am, and I’ve taken the situation seriously. I hope that can be taken into account when considering whether I deserve a second chance.

Even though I would be getting a second chance eventually, I’m missing out on a lot of great RP, especially since I had just gotten back into the server and was really enjoying it again. I’d be grateful for the opportunity to return a bit sooner and continue contributing positively to the community.

Thanks for taking the time to make a ban appeal.

I have reviewed the logs as well as your review, and from what I have been presented with, the ban that was issued to you is valid and the staff member was correct to issue it.

The logs showed you killed 4 D-Class in less than 3 minutes of each other without taking any damage from any of them. You also admitted in this appeal they were not really a threat to your life, you just felt like killing them. This would be MRDM.


1.02 Do not RDM/RVDM- Random Deathmatch or Random Vehicle Deathmatch. You must have a real and justifiable reason to kill or attempt to kill another player. Players should also be given reasonable time to comply with demands.
Examples:
• You or someone else is in a life-threatening situation.
• You gave someone clear verbal commands, with time to comply, and they fail to do so.

In the future, consider the rules in the RP you want to create and think about the impact it will have on the people around you.
