What will you do to stop this from happening again: Not create documents with inappropriate content.

Why should you be unbanned: I am a brand new player with very few hours to my name. I was exploring my very first starter job, which happened to be junior researcher. I was exploring the systems and created a document. In it, i pasted the popular vaporeon meme to test the document system. As a joke, i printed it and showed it to an assistant, that read and then destroyed it. About half and hour later, whilest exploring the foundation, i was pulled into a sit room. I was told that "i was disgusting" and without much more to it i was banned for an entire week.

I personally feel that this treatment, for a lighthearted joke, is really harsh - Especially since i am still very unfamiliar with the server. It wouldve absolutely sufficed to let me know not to create such documents again, since i took the atmosphere of the server for a more relaxed one. I do know better now.

It would be great to show understanding to new and learning players. This ban, in my opinion, is nothing but harsh, whilest a verbal warning would have also sufficed. Needless to say, i will not paste documents like this again.

I had issued the ban based on a document that I was provided a clip of, Matching the steamID of the user who printed it came up with yours (Along with the name on the document), The document's contents i won't share here but it was inappropriate for a server that can house people as young as 13.

I will mention that I had referred to the document in question as "Disgusting" and not yourself, Apologies if you believed I had referred to you that way, that was not my intention.

thank you for the quick response!

The content of the document was never in doubt, neither that I was the one that created it. As for the content - It was literally pulled from a quick google search - It is a popular meme, which was meant to be a test for the document and printing system, purely text without any images whatsoever.

As for the disgust: I clearly remember you saying "you are disgusting" before wordlessly typing in !xban in chat, to which i was then banned for a week. It very well may have been that i have simply misheard you, but from my perspective your wording wasn't as kind as you make it out to be here. The reason for my appeal is my hope in the understanding that brand new players can break the rules they do not see as inappropriate themselves.

As i already said, i would have shredded and not created such documents any more if you would have told me so. Banning a brand new player for a week without having a problem solving discussion in the sit of some sort seems nothing but harsh. I personally feel that it sets a bad tone and a stressed atmosphere, where you have to fear long bans for breaking rules. I did not think much of it either, since the little experience i had as a d-class and researcher was relaxed and a little chaotic, but not harsh or overly serious.


I hope that a brand new player can be forgiven for this.

After reading through your appeal and talking with the staff member in question, I have decided to deny your ban appeal.

Whether you are a new player or an experienced player, it is your own responsibility to familiarise yourself with the rules that are publicly laid out for players to read. Documents like this are not acceptable on any level and you were informed in the sit of such by the staff member reiterating that the document was 'disgusting'. We have 0 tolerance for documents/content like this being brought onto the server and the punishment issued was completely fair.
