What will you do to stop this from happening again: I'll read texts more carefully and double-check them before reacting. I instantly realised that I had misread the message, even though in that moment I thought I had the green light.
Why should you be unbanned: I'm asking for a shorter ban period rather than a complete unban as I understand the impact that my actions had on the final moments of the event. I've been here long enough to be familiar with and understand all of the rules. (3 years)
The reason:
There was a Code-2 event where the D-class had access to all sorts of weapons including matadors. During the situation, a Server Leadership member named Marcus Vellum at that time, who was playing as a Vice Chairman at that time, announced in comms that “All special weapons are allowed bar AA.” I misread the message, not noticing the word “bar” and believed he was authorizing the use of all special weapons, including nerve gas, especially since I know that AA requires SL authorization. This ended up with me throwing nerve gas in D-block which resulted into me killing a lot of D-class with it.
I wish to be unbanned as soon as possible as I am involved in a few RP scenarios in which I already took a major part and would love to be present to see how they end.
I understand the mistake and take responsibility for the result.
