No kicks/bans/warnings.

Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
I have alot of experience in the Medical Department and I wish to help people out further from a RP perspective. I would also like to ease myself back into CL4 roles again.

I wish to create fun and interesting RP scenarios for the Medical Department and to involve other departments ranging from scheduling appointments to administering treatments to higher clearance individuals.

What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
I've been very much involved with the Medical Department for a long time.

From playing Combat Medic, healing people and dragging them away from combat to a safe distance.
To playing Senior Doctor and scheduling Physical / Mental evaluations on individual people. I have also done this on demand when requested, to add on to this. I can also provide evidence of said evaluations if requested.

A very long time ago I was one of the main driving forces behind keeping the Medical Department alive, dating back when we was named Chief of Medicine. I was in charge of hosting Medical Licenses while also removing them said Licenses from those who abused their License for malpractice and / or giving the Department a bad reputation. I have always been unbiased in my judgements.

Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
One of the most common medical procedure(s) I have to deal with mainly is Illnesses. Personnel tend to request over communications or walk into Medical directly to request assistance. Personally I'm very well informed when it comes to illnesses as I've dealt with them countless times.

Firstly, you are to observe the patient for any obvious symptoms such as sudden growths in the legs followed by involuntary movement; or the head has been enlarged as that can indicate a Bacterial or Sinus Infection.
Secondly, ask them if they have been sneezing or coughing; also asking if said coughing has led to blood. These can indicate a Common Cold or Chest Infection.

Even if symptoms have been identified and you are clear on the illness, it's important that you place them on the Infection Scanner to properly determine the illness and administer the relevant cure for the illness. People who are unsure of the cure can direct themselves to the board located in the Medical Chemist area which shows how to make the cures and when they should be used. The community has also created a chem sheet which can help you quickly in a pinch.

What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
Medical Consultants are an outstanding example of how Medical personnel should be conducting themselves around site, standing as a role-model and helping out any new Medical personnel who need help. Guiding and showing Trainees how the department operates and how they can assist other departments such as General Security with their duties. This can range from showing them how to cure bone fractures, how to conduct Physical / Mental evaluations while also giving them templates to help them do them, showing them how to cure illnesses and what cures they should be using. Finally showing Trainees how to perform ECT and when they should perform them followed by asking for consent before doing so.

Medical Consultants are expected to host License Training for them to become Doctors and train people for Combat Medics when they reach the appropriate support ranks. Following on from this, they have the final say on how Medical Procedures are conducted and authorized unless they are overruled by someone higher in the Chain of Command.

Finally, they are responsible for reporting any misconduct of Medical personnel who perform unethical acts and misusing medical equipment. While also revoking Medical Licenses / Combat Medic whitelists if the situation has caused too much harm to Foundation staff.

Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Director of Medicine ████████████ - I've had my eye on someone for quite awhile, do we have their personnel file?

Consultant ██████ - What's their name?

Director of Medicine ████████████ - Damien R. Jones. They were a previous Consultant in our Medical department, shouldn't be hard to find their file.

Consultant ██████ - Can't seem to se- No wait, here we are! Although his previous employment says "Chief of Medicine"?

Director of Medicine ████████████ - So, he's been here for awhile then... Alright, Let's see the personnel file. For the time-being, leave their promotion as Pending until we come to a final decision.
