What server are you applying for:
SCP-RP (UK)

Your Username:
gamingbleak

Your SteamID:
STEAM_0:1:238482069

Discord Username:
vxnt

Age:
20

What's your current playtime:
65d 12h (9d in last month)

Do you have a mic:
No, and this was waived by SL.

Your characters name:
Foundation: Lily 'Silly' Zephyran
GOC: Lily 'Zephyr'
Surface: Lil' Zeph

Is this the first application you made? If no, link all previous applications:
It is the first gamemaster application I have made.

Have you received any kicks/warns/bans, and if so, why:
I have received
NLR-June 13th 2022
NLR(Class-B)-June 15th 2022
RDM-September 12th 2023

How many hours can you be on everyday: An unhealthy amount.
Minimum 3.

Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster/Event Manager in a community:
I do not have previous experience as a Gamemaster in any community or server, though I have played RP servers for a fairly long time and participated in many events during this time.

Why would you like to become a Gamemaster:
I would like to get the rank of a Gamemaster so I can better the RP experience of others around me. Whether this is through enhancing RP or creating and leading fun and interesting events, I'd like to make the servers experience more enjoyable for all who have an interest in RP. In my experience of participating in events, it has lead me to come up with several of my own. Though I could suggest these to another Gamemaster and ask them to hold them, I feel that a Gamemaster's passion for holding an event greatly affects how the event is received and impacts the enjoyment of all involved.

What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special over the other applicants:
I'll start by saying I'm an incredibly active player on the server and I would like to say that I have friendships and relations with at least someone in each department/regiment/faction. This is to say that I believe I have a good grasp on how each faction operates, and what they enjoy about what they do. This allows me to focus events more around enhancing their gameplay loop rather than changing it directly. Additionally I mostly play exclusively non-combative roles, this means that all of the jobs I play revolve directly around RP, which I believe should show my experience in such things. I've been the lead in several cross-department RP projects as an Ethics Assistant in the past, primarily with the Research Department, in the goals of seeing how they progressed. I attempt to make my projects and RP experiences open-ended, as I prefer to encourage RP in a direction rather than script it in a specific way.

Please List 3 small event ideas (Which would involve at least one side of the server):
1.
D-Class Rehabilitation Program
(GSD+NU7+D-CLASS+SURFACE)

"Due to a miscalculation, we have far too many D-Class than we are capable to hold.. We're going to have to rehab some for surface living.. At least until we need more."

The Foundation's Logistics Department alerted us that we have hit our capacity for D-Class, and as such need to rehabilitate them so they can acclimate to surface living in Pinewood. With the help of GSD and NU7, we'll attempt to get them used to being out on the surface again before we amnesticate them and release them back to Pinewood.

A group of D-class would be brought to an area resembling a small apartment, and observed as they attempt to acclimate to normal living
based on the result of this D-Class may be returned to D-Block if deemed unfit, bringing in a new batch or returned to surface and amnesticated to live as civilians. This would likely require a lot of co-operation between GSD and NU7, two departments who do not often work together.
Gamemasters would likely want to make use of a dupe for this event that appears similar to a small apartment while playing as an event role that represents the "Department of Rehabilitation" or something along those lines.

2.
AWCY Art Exhibition
(GOC+RESEARCH+SURFACE)

"Art is amazing, isn't it? We've worked so hard on these pieces for your enjoyment! So I guess that begs the question.. Are we cool yet?"

We've heard reports of a strange art exhibition being set-up in Pinewood, people are saying that it appeared overnight. Humes are through the roof in there.. We better get it secured and send up some researchers to find out what's going on in there to figure out what's going on. Be careful, some people report seeing someone lurking nearby?

Small dupe is created with several anomalous art pieces on display, interaction with them provides some form of anomalous effect. (likely done as gamemaster objects)
AWCY? artist(s) would be present around the exhibit, attempting to stay out of sight until a little later.
Foundation or GOC may find interest in the anomalies, CI may as well, though it is unlikely due to their goals.

3.
Lost and Found.
(Foundation)

"I found this freaky little doll, think someone lost it? I'll just go put it in lost and found or something."

A small doll appeared in the Foundation, assuming it belonged to someone, it was put into lost and found but it didn't take long for the doll to show up somewhere else. The relatively harmless doll was seen appearing throughout the site, disappearing when unobserved for too long. We're going to have to try and contain it now, but how?

A GM object appearing as a doll would be spawned in, this doll would appear and disappear quite frequently.
The doll will always appear in easy to reach places, as to encourage possible RP for all personnel.
The doll will eventually turn somewhat hostile and react to its containment efforts, if made.
The dolls attitude will become far more hostile if hostile actions are taken against it.

Please List an map change event idea (Involving both sides and the entire server):

Wondertainment Production Factory
(This or this)

"An abandoned factory was discovered recently, after further analysis it appears to be an old and now unused production factory for "Dr Wondertainment". Get in there, secure it and find out what's going on. Be careful, there's reports of CI nearby."

A now unused and abandoned production factory for Dr Wondertainment has been discovered just outside of Saskatchewan. With the Foundations inevitable interest being obvious, the Chaos Insurgency have snuck in ahead of time to try and hold the interior and catch them off-guard. The factory may be decrepit and run-down, but the CI aren't alone in there. Lurking in the shadows of the factory are failed attempts at Wondertainment's "toys" and it's unclear what their intentions are. The Foundation will have to work to secure the factory while the GOC work to protect the veil of secrecy.

GOC: The GOC would be tasked with keeping any civilians nearby oblivious to the on-goings, and ensuring no SCPs breach the perimeter

CI: The CI would be attempting to hold the factory and prevent the Foundation's attempt to push in

NU7: Tasked with combating Chaos Insurgency's attempts to hold the factory

E11: E11 would have to scout and find the SCPs inside, attempting to temporarily contain them before movement

A1+O1: Due to the lack of SC at the factory, these two MTFs would be trusted to work together and provide aid to either NU7, E11 or GOC.

Foundation: Researchers would be entrusted with finding out what they can without putting themselves into harms way.
A handful of gamemasters would take on the role of the SCPs within the site, some passive, some not. Additionally, the Factory may undergo some events within itself, such as blackouts.

List an example mission for each of the following (O-1, A-1, Nu-7, E-11, CI, UNGOC & Foundation Staff):

O1:
Masquerade
"Who's the new ECM? Huh? What do you mean they're not new?"

A new mysterious person appears, claiming to be an ECM. This wouldn't be an issue normally, except they appear to have their own group of escorts. Omega-1 will be tasked with taking out these escorts and ECM without raising worries of the foundation, while figuring out who they really are.
This event would make use of the event team role, modelling themselves to an ECM and those around them to Omega-1 operatives.
They'd receive the loadouts appropriate for their characters and proceed to RP as the normal job would, but with a noticeable difference in behaviour.
This would not only draw attention, but raise suspicion and lead Ethics and Omega-1 to investigate, progressing the event.
The ECM would appear on-site acting as if they had always been there, almost insulted upon questioning who they are.

A1:
Interception

"I was working with them, they didn't give me much info, but their target is definitely your boss! You've gotta believe me!"

A Chaos Insurgency defector comes to the Foundation claiming they have news for the O5 council. Upon interrogation, they find out about plans for an attempted assassination on one of the members. Alpha-1 will have to work to locate the would-be hitmen and take them down before they take out their O5.
Gamemaster takes the role of a Chaos Insurgency defector, attempting to communicate with O5 over OComms.
If accepted, a detailed plan is given to A1, if not, they go unaware.
The plan is followed by the gamemaster and an additional person who are playing as a hitsquad.
It is up to alpha-1 to decide how this plays out.
It will be discussed with O5 in advance to check if they'd like to co-operate with the event.

NU7:
Templars

"There's cultists in town? What weirdos.. They seem dangerous too.. Always meeting at the same place each night.."

A group of bizarre cultists have gathered nearby pinewood, they have taken to setting up a base of operations just outside of town. These dangerous followers are practicing a strange ritual that is having an effect on those nearby, get out there and take them down before they finish whatever they're doing.
Gamemasters will play the role of Sarkic Cultists who are gathered in pinewood.
The foundation will gain information about this from OComms, likely via parawatch.
The Foundations response is voluntary, though the event will progress further without interruption.
It is not limited to NU7, but preferred that they are the ones involved.

E11:
Ghostbuster

"Have you heard? There's a ghost going about the Facility.. I was told it's being pretty aggressive.. But that's just a story, right?"

Reports have been coming in of a hostile apparition in the Foundation, this threat appears to manifest and demanfiest at will. We'll need to find a way to keep it in place while we either contain it or get rid of it permanently. Perhaps we can learn something about it's death, it may give us some hints on how to deal with it.
A gamemaster will be modelled and made transparent, likely with the effects of NHU.
This entity will disappear and re-appear somewhat at random just within sight of people.
Notes can be found at these locations that hint towards possible ways of recontaining it, or getting rid of it.
It'll occasionally interact with people when they are alone, introducing the entity to E11 slowly.

FOUNDATION:
UIU meeting

"The UIU want to come see us today, they said they want a little tour if possible. Should we allow that..?"

The FBI's Unusual Incident Unit (UIU) have arrived on compound requesting a visit into the Foundation. They're here after hearing word of the Site's excellent combatives, and would like to receive some training themselves. Both in physical combat and knowledge, an SCP survival guide, even.
A small group of gamemasters would approach the Foundation over OComms requesting entry
If granted, they'd come and meet with SA, inquiring about receiving some training.
This training would be given in small batches, some information from Research, combat from NU7, containment methods from E11 etc.
There wouldnt be many GM powers used here, simply utilising the event role and RP skills.

GOC:
World Parahealth Organistaion

"We're calling in Parahealth, this isn't just a normal sickness."

After an anomalous illness begins to spread throughout Pinewood the World Parahealth Organisation was sent in to assist, but due to Pinewood's station having extensive knowledge of the residents and area, they are tasked in helping to quarantine the spread, and cure the mysterious illness.
A GM would take the role of a Parahealth ambassador, approaching the GOC and inquiring about a disease spreading throughout Pinewood.
This disease would be anomalous in nature, not exactly sure of its effects as of yet.
It would be contagious, and require quarantining.
It would need to make use of GOC's co-operation with the Ambassador to effectively diagnose and treat it.
Cover-ups will be needed afterwards to protect the veil.

CI:
Daydreaming

"I had such a strange dream last night, someone's coming today.."

The Chaos Insurgency are visited by a mysterious figure in their dreams. This figure claims to be a representative for the Oneiroi Collective and wishes to invite the members of the Chaos Insurgency to lay down their arms and join them. This offer is not given to many, and is one of great value. It is up to them whether they accept, and if they do, what it means for their future.
A Gamemaster posing as a representative for the Oneiroi Collective attempts to establish communications with CI after appearing to one in a dream. (This dream would essentially be taking a CI into 22415's dimension to speak 1-on-1.)
The offer would be made to CI to join the Oneiroi Collective and leave their bloodshed behind.
Members who accept this will be stripped of weapons and become essentially non-combatives, though gaining the ability to enter the dreamscape (22415's dimension).
Due to joining the collective, they have given up their corporeal forms. This means that upon leaving the dimension they receive the effects of something similar to NHU, making them incorporeal, and unable to truly interact with the world in any meaningful way.

  • + Have only had good interactions with this individual.

  • + Has held multiple CL4 positions, so they are used to generating RP.

  • + Suited for the position.

  • -/+ Event ideas, while they could generally use a bit more on how they would be facilitated/approached OOC from a GM perspective, they'll generally learn that stuff anyway; What is presented is otherwise satisfactory, in what is otherwise a passable GM app. I see no reason to obstruct based on this.

Heyo,

Would it be possible for you to go more in depth about your department specific events, I think they seem fun/good but would be much better to describe in a more in-depth way (or maybe describe OOC what GMs would be doing during events).

:)

I've done this now, thanks for the request! I'm sorry if this isn't quite what you meant. I'm not familiar with all the tools at a GM's disposal as of current, so please forgive any oversights and/or misunderstandings I may have.
