Why are you applying for Site Advisor?

After spending the majority of my splaytime since my acceptance as Ambassador (on the 27th June 2020), I find myself more and more trying to overlook general facility operations and protocols rather than focussing myself just on Internal Affairs matter. During the last couple of weeks, I have noticed myself being more involved in facility wide operations in a leadership setting, oversight and advising other personnel during different situations. This makes me feel more in line with the position of Side Advisor rather then Internal Affairs Ambassador.

At first, I was thinking about applying for a position of Overseer or Ethics assistant. But taking a closer look at how I interact with other departments and MTFs, I really think the position of Site Advisor suits me more. I enforce both the CoC and CoE, but serving as a general assistant to one of the two mention before, would not involve me as mutch with the daily site-wide operations. This is however where I want to be more specialised in and wish to gain more experience in.

Leaving the Department of Internal Affairs would be in effect if I was to become Site Advisor, this to fully put my mind to the position of Site Advisor. I would not have any problem doing so, mainly because I know that Internal Affairs as a department currently is in a good position within the UK server. The new semi-whitelist system has been fully implemented and ambassadors are working hard to train new agents in the regulations and habits of becoming a well rounded agent. I also feel like it would be a logical step for me to move on to a more administrative position that involved the whole facility since I find myself more often putting myself in such postion. Besides this, we currently have quite a lot of IA Ambassadors who are doing an outstanding job, and me moving up to Site Advisor would make room for a future agent aspiring to guide new agents in the ways of enforcing facility regulations.

What makes you suitable for Site Administration?

My experience as an Internal Affairs Ambassador has thought me a lot on the qualities and skills of a leader. Both on the aspects of RP, punishments and general guidance of new personnel assigned to Internal Affairs. I also have been involved in daily operations on our site itself, both in the execution and leadership roles of such operations. This is, but not limited to;

These traits/experiences listed up above do really make me feel I am ready to move to a position within the Site Administration. I know Site Administation has more responsibilities than the things listed above. However, it gives me the insight on how Site Administations work on a basic level and makes me feel like I am somehow already "inbetween" the two positions. I think that now, the time has come for me to fully move up to Site Administation.
  • Greeting visitors:
I have been assigned multiple times to take care of "inspectors" from different foundation fide off-site departments. As a CL4 member of personnel, I have to know what can be said and what can be done with visitors. For example, showing them all the clearance level rooms and hallways that their own clearance allows without hindering daily operations. You also overlook things like their safety, what information they note and how they reflect their own visit at our site.
  • Overseeing visitors operations:
One of the last visitor operations I helped out with, was when we had 2 journalists of the Foundation "News Department" come in and set up a Journalism Competition. I overlooked this operation, making sure E-11 enlisted where positioned at the kiosk (of sorts) and making sure no documents contained info breaches of any kind. The operation itself went smoothly and did not run in to that many problems. At this time, me and Finn overlooked this visit.
  • Breaches, intruders and others:
During breaches, GoI intruders and other normal events happening around our facility, I usually run to the Emergency Operations Center and operate from there. When there is nobody higher active, I usually try to take lead as my current position within the Server Wide Hierarchy. As a CL4 member of personnel, I try to connect the different MTFs in Clearance level 3 communications, help different departments with suggestions on how to move next and help MTFs on positioning themselves for better oversight of the facility. Most of the times, people do actually follow my suggestions and move to their "assigned", more suggested position and things have the tendancy to work out.

What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:

Site Administration is tasked with overviewing the daily operations of the site. They are tasked by the O5 to assign tasks and guidance to other clearance level 4 personnel, help with the daily operations of departments and MTFs and overview the working of the facility. They can be see offering guidance and expertise to departmens when needed and put in charge of mission that overlook the whole facility instead of just a single MTF/Department. More often than not, they are not the person with the "final day" in the matter, they are there to observe, suggest and guide other members of the facility. They are however in charge of the facility itself, thus keeping tabs on the movement of people within the facility and making sure the safety, secrecy and workflow of the facility is up to standard at a daily basis.

As a Site Advisor more specifically, you note how departments are run and report this to the Site Director. You are not to be seen as a "boss", you are a leader and listen to people, make calls based on their opinion on the matter and inform yourself before advising. Site Advisors are not "know-all" people, they are just in place to form an unbiased and informed oppinion on matter they are assigned to, help with their experience and assist the Site Advisor (and replace him/her when not on Site-65).

Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in
- Gregory McCain, freshly parted from his studies in Global Politcs from ███████ University, Belgium, started looking for a job on the local job website. After spending some time and landing his first job on the office of Internal Affairs of the Belgium minister of said department and showing a good understanding of politics, leadership and the capacity to work nights on end, Gregory was given the nickname "Archangel", a callsign to reflect his ability to guide those serving under him within his team. After working in the office for close to 2 years, McCain was approached by two men in black suits. They explained to Gregory that his work has not gone unnoticed and requested if he would like another job offer. Gregory kindly refused, showed the two men out and thanked them for the offer. With no contecxt in any way, Gregory woke up in a dim lit room, feeling dizzy. In front of him where the same two men, they explained that he was now taken to an SCP facility overseas, since the local facility personnel might know his personal information. He was explained that he was to be assigned to the Department of Internal Affairs, and after hearing the introduction of the two men, Gregory fell in love with the idea and agreed upon the new job opportunity.

After working within the Department of Internal Affairs for some years, Gregory was called to the office of the department. With a small heart, Gregory opened up the door and entered. He was promply told to sit on the chair in front of the desk, gulping while sitting down, Gregory looked at a man he admired from the first day since he agreed upon taking the role within the foundation. The Director started talking about the last evaluations of all personnel within the Internal Affairs Department. Gregory started to sweat, even tho knowing his evulation to be good. The report was fully read in front of him. After the end of the report, the director layed the papers down and finished with a simple question:

' We only have one final question, your work here is untill now has been an example to others... How does Ambassador sound?"

After 2 years within the Department of Internal Affairs, Gregory learned the ins and outs of the whole site he was stantioned at. He more and more became interested in overviewing and helping people outside of the department. And that is just what he did. He started helping those in other departents, enlightening them on protocols, procedures and events that have lead to the current state of the facility. After these two years, he become known around the facility as someone who is open for questions and willing to help in different matter. His experience as a leadership figure within the Department of Internal Affairs has helped him to devlop towards someone who is capable of leading mutliple people, advising others and taking care and leadership roles on any situation assigned to him.

Site Adminsitration and the ███████ started noticing this, after recieving reports about his helping hand in facility wide problems, assigning MTFs to specific locations during visitations and reflecting papers handed to them from other facility site administation personnel visiting Site-65.

McCain, now close to 35 years old, was called to the office of the standing Site Director and was questioned on the matter at hand. Gregory explained;

- McCain: "Sir, with all respect, I only was trying to help others. I did not want to interfere with their day to day operations.'-

- Site Director: "McCain... I never told you that I didn't like the way you operate, I just wanted to know why you do it? It's above your paygrade, you are only assigned to work with Internal Affairs, not overlook the whole site."

- McCain: "Euhm.. I just like helping people I assume? I know that other ambassadors within the Department of Internal Affairs are doing a real good job, so when they are overlooking the working of the department, I just focus myself more on the whole facility instead of just IA."

- Site Director: "Ah... I see, you know, I could use someone like you. You are familiar with the Code of Conduct, know the Code of Ethics, enforce the Legal Codex and are already advising and reporting problems that plague the site."

- McCain: "Yes, I'd love to advise you on the matter, I'll do it during my downtime as Ambassador, I'll send you mails with my findings and I w..." [[INTERRUPTED BY THE DIRECTOR LIFTING HIS FINGER]]

- Site Director: "McCain.. Listen, I don't want you to report to me on your free time, I wish you'd help me out with information and reports the whole day, not just after you are done with your ambassador duties. I also would like you here, by my side, not just hear from you over e-mail. I'm assigning you to full time Site Advisor."

Gregory. You are active and mature, but I do recommend staying as an Ambassador for a bit, interacting and improving activity, which You are doing.

I do not think You are ready for Site Advisor yet.

Good luck although!
Thanks for replying so soon!
Altough yes, I agree my activity could be improved more, this is mainly because of my job and my vacation that just ended. On the other hand, the interacting portion. With who do you think I need to interact more? I'm really trying to improve and make myself aligable for Site Administration.

I recommend interacting more with everyone.
Being active will make You get reports on different personnel inside IA and the reports will come from Different Personnel.
That would make You interact with more people.
You having a job is completely fine and understandable, but Site Advisor will drain You, most likely for the part of leading the Site as a whole.
