Ban length: It was supposed to be a one week ban but when I got on Garrys Mod I saw it was sixteen weeks. I DMed an admin (revolutionary) and was told I ban evaded on an alt but I would not ban evade since I already got banned for it once before. The alt I ban evaded with was from five months ago and I either lost access to it or cannot find the email. I only have my main Steam account and no one around me plays Garrys Mod so this has to be some kind of mistake.
What will you do to stop this from happening again: Like I said I would not ban evade for a one week ban especially during a busy work week when I would not even have time to play games anyway. I also have military obligations coming up soon so gaming is not my priority and I would never risk my standing over something so small. Regarding the inappropriate comments I made toward someone I was not thinking clearly and I was trolling and messing around without considering how it would affect others. I have reflected on it and I understand now how wrong it was. That behavior led to my one week ban which I completely accept and take full responsibility for. I genuinely regret my actions and I want to do better going forward. It is a really great server and I have no intention of ever repeating that behavior. I agree that my one week ban should remain as I fully deserved it for my actions. However the ban evasion claim must be a mistake or some kind of system error because I have not used any alternate accounts or tried to avoid punishment. I am only asking for that part to be reviewed because I do not want something false on my record.
Why should you be unbanned: I am not here to ask for an unban. I fully accepted the one week ban that was placed on me on 21/04/2025 and I understand why it was given. I took responsibility for what I said and reflected on how I acted and I truly regret it. The ban was fair and I deserved it. It is now over and I believe I have learned from it. I do not want that part of the punishment removed as it should stay on my record as a reminder to be better going forward. What I am asking for is just a second look at the ban evasion part. I have never used alt accounts family share or had anyone else log into GMod from my setup. No one around me plays GMod actively and I would never try to ban evade. Especially after what happened months ago I have been extremely careful and respectful of the rules. I know there is a bot that can detect alternate accounts and that is exactly why I would never risk it especially not for a one week ban that was nearly over when the ban evasion was flagged. If this was a mistake or the system matched me incorrectly with someone else I just kindly ask for that part to be corrected. I take full responsibility for my actions but I also want to make sure my account is not unfairly flagged for something I did not do. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I truly hope this can be cleared up.
