Why are you applying for Site Advisor?

I'm applying for the Site Advisor position because I believe this role has the potential to make a real impact on the quality and efficiency of our RP environment. During my time on duty, I’ve noticed that Site Administration could take a more active role in creating a structured and responsive environment, especially in areas like SCP breach management and GENSEC training. As a Site Advisor, I’d aim to support Site Administration by organizing RP scenarios, improving coordination in GENSEC handling D-class personnel, I have seen multiple GENSEC skipping multiple protocols leading to multiple outrages within D-bunks, just today 11/13/2024 we had multiple D-classes escaping D-bunks and then later getting dangerously armed. But I also want ensure that certain MTF's and other departments work more closely with each other-ensuring a high standard of readiness across departments. Because I have seen that most of the people kinda dislike working with GENSEC in general, by some avoiding contact with them, etc.

I’ve always enjoyed the balance between passive and strategic RP, from small tasks like player interviews and medical check-ups to more substantial responsibilities. Being a Site Advisor means having a proactive approach in every RP scenario, adapting to changing situations and supporting the flow of decisions efficiently and maturely. I believe this adaptability and commitment would serve me well in the role.

While I don’t have the highest hours in the server due to my academic commitments and my past Discord account issues, I’ve been part of SCP-RP-UK for some time and I can provide proof via my characters achievements, including some from 2022. Despite taking breaks due to other RP interests and academic priorities, I’ve recently returned to SCP-RP with new focuses and I am fairly interested to provide to the servers RP again and not just as a E-11.

At my core, I am more drawn to the organizational and mature role of RP, in this case being the Site Advisory role. I have a keen interest in overseeing operations and have the capacity to take on new knowledge about Site Administration’s procedures.

To sum it up, I’m motivated to apply as Site Advisor to enhance RP, support the server's efficiency and help the Site Administration build a well coordinated and strategic RP environment at Site-65.

What makes you suitable for Site Administration?

--RP Experience--

I am a dedicated role-player with extensive experience across multiple servers and games. My passion for military-sim and SCP- RP allows me to adapt quickly and make informed decisions based on the RP scenario. Given an assigned role, I commit fully to it's responsibilities and believe this dedication would be a strong asset as a Site Advisor. I thoroughly enjoy participating in RP scenarios and remain calm and patient, even in the more challenging aspects of RP. This allows me to keep a realistic and immersive environment for everyone involved.

--Maturity--

I approach all RP roles with maturity and professionalism. Understanding the importance of staying focused on the task at hand, I am adept at handling a range of situations calmly and responsibly. I’m aware that the Site Administration needs Site Advisors who are dependable and I am eager to prove my worth as a strong candidate for this role.

--Document/Documenting Skills--

I have solid experience in creating and managing documents, a key skill for Site Advisors when it comes to documenting events and overseeing site activities. I am a perfectionist so I take full responsibility to organizing my work effectively, ensuring records are accessible and clear. While I can’t share examples here due to them being used for other servers, I plan to demonstrate this skill when it is needing for use for the Site Administration.

--Creative Proposals and Ideas--

I am always looking for innovative ways to improve RP and bring fresh ideas to challenging situations. I believe that creative thinking is vital for Site Advisors to develop solutions that enhance the player experience and improve overall efficiency.

--Additional Notes--

I recognize that I haven’t held a CL:4 role within the SCP-RP-UK community before, I’m a big believer in taking on new challenges to grow in the community. While some may suggest gaining experience as a CO+ in an MTF or a department such as the ISD, my interest lies specifically in the unique responsibilities such as: Site Command and Site Administration, which demand a different set of skills and focuses. I look forward to discussing this further in the interview stage.

What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:

Site Administration at Site-65 has a crucial role in keeping things on track. They’re the ones making sure the rules and policies are up to date, helping different departments work together smoothly and stepping in when things go sideways. They also handle relationships with outside groups, keeping those connections strong. Behind the scenes, they keep everything balanced and running efficiently, whether it’s making sure the daily tasks get done or stepping up during an emergency. Their job is all about making sure Site-65 keeps moving forward, no matter what.

Side Note: I would love to become more informed about Site Administration, especially the Site Advisors' duties, if I pass both sections.

Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Transmission Log – Site-65 Administration – Darrel Junior
Date
: [REDACTED] | Time: 13:47:00 UTC

[BEGIN LOG]

[The faint hum of Site-65’s intercom system flickers to life, followed by a brief burst of static as the transmission begins.]

DJ (Darrel Junior, Site Advisor):

This is Darrel Junior, Site Advisor of Site-65. Logging into the system now for an official update on current operations and upcoming missions. This transmission is strictly classified for Site-65 personnel and above. If you’re listening in, you’re either cleared, or you’re about to be reassigned.

Let’s dive in.

[The sound of keys tapping, followed by a slight pause.]

DJ:

Initial report: The situation regarding SCP-███, the artifact recovered from the ruins of [REDACTED], is ongoing. Dr. ██████ has recommended a full-scale activation of Protocol Delta-9, which involves high-level containment procedures to secure and analyze the item. We’re ramping up security around the containment zone and will be monitoring the artifact's anomalous properties closely. Any deviation from the expected containment parameters will trigger immediate escalation.

I’ve been in touch with the Department Heads, and they’re all on alert. We’re coordinating a multi-departmental response to make sure everything runs like clockwork. The artifact’s potential is too great to risk negligence, so we’ll be working with Medical and Security to ensure proper safety procedures are followed.

[A brief pause as Darrel Junior types an update into his terminal.]

DJ:

Now, we’ve got another problem. Mobile Task Force NU-7 encountered hostile Group of Interest activity in the region while performing routine checks near the artifact’s retrieval site. The situation is delicate. Coordination with External Affairs is underway to handle the diplomatic fallout. I’ve ordered a temporary lockdown of the containment zone as a precautionary measure. The last thing we need is for this to escalate into a full-blown confrontation.

Security protocols are in place, but I’ll be personally overseeing the integration of new measures, especially considering the potential for external interference. Any attempt to breach or sabotage the site will be met with immediate countermeasures. No exceptions.

[Darrel Junior’s voice takes on a more authoritative tone.]

DJ:

Site-65’s research output remains on schedule, though we’ve had some delays regarding SCP-███’s containment. Medical teams are on standby, prepared for any incidents involving personnel exposure to the entity. We don’t know enough about its long-term effects, but we're making progress. Dr. ██████ will be conducting further tests once additional safety measures are confirmed.

We need all departments to remain on high alert and follow procedure. Any deviation from standard protocol during this phase could lead to catastrophic consequences.

[There’s a momentary shift in the sound as Darrel Junior seems to shift his posture, the atmosphere becoming more contemplative.]

DJ:

As for internal affairs, there’s been growing tension between Research and Security. As usual, it’s a difference of priorities—Research insists on pushing forward with their studies, but Security’s not comfortable with the risks. Their last meeting nearly turned into a confrontation. To put it bluntly: both sides are right, but both sides are also wrong. The stakes are too high for us to waste time fighting each other.

I’ve scheduled an emergency meeting between the department heads. We need to find common ground, or we risk compromising the integrity of the site. If we don’t sort this out, I’ll have no choice but to intervene more drastically. We can’t afford to lose focus.

I’ve also authorized the use of Site-65’s Special Containment Equipment for the upcoming operation involving SCP-████. This mission is classified, but the equipment is critical for the success of the operation. Only those with the necessary clearance will be briefed on the details.

[There’s a brief, thoughtful silence.]

DJ:

It’s clear to me that keeping the balance between security and scientific advancement is a delicate game. Both departments have valid concerns, but they need to realize we’re in this together. If one falls, we all fall. My job is to keep this from happening, and right now, that means stepping in when needed to maintain the peace—and the progress.

[The sound of papers rustling briefly as Darrel Junior finishes typing.]

DJ:

In closing, Site-65 is on alert for any anomalous activity, as usual. I’ll be checking in with each department regularly, ensuring no critical issues are left unchecked. If you have questions or concerns, you know where to find me.

That’s all for now. Darrel Junior, signing off.

[END LOG]

Thank you for taking your time reading this. I hope I move on to the interview section!

Sincerely,

-Darrel Sparks / Darrel Junior

Although you have no prior CL4 experience which is recommended before applying for senior CL4 positions, this application is very good and you seem to understand the duties and responsibilities well.

That being said, I have not seen you at site once and I would recommend you get more experience and recognition in the server overall before applying for a senior position.

Thank you for the critic,

I am well aware that I do not have any prior CL:4 experience within this server, but I thought why not give it a shot.

The CL:4 experience you get from a regular MTF is not even close to the one with a more administrative task.

If there is not requirement that is stated, that says “previous clearance 4 experience needed” I wouldn’t have applied. I even stated this int application.

I thank you yet again for the critic. I really enjoy getting feedback and I try to adapt and take inspiration/ listen to them.

I didn't get denied because of my “less experience.” It was due to they wanted to see me more and for me to get to know how the ECA operates. There is nowhere stated in the requirements that you have to have held a former CL:4.

Thank you either way,

If I am going to be honest with you, it doesn’t matter if you have a CL:4 or not , if you can provide the work.

I was going to wait 2 weeks to maybe apply again but noticed that SA has never really been on much and hasn’t provided us with much. So I became interested in maybe giving that a shot, who knows maybe I’ll get a chance to fix the issue.

Honestly, a lovely application. I'd say you're worth a shot.
Although I ask two things:

I am always looking for innovative ways to improve RP and bring fresh ideas to challenging situations. I believe that creative thinking is vital for Site Advisors to develop solutions that enhance the player experience and improve overall efficiency.
Please give some examples or Roleplay you'd like to create or have already created.

Side Note: I would love to become more informed about Site Administration, especially the Site Advisors' duties, if I pass both sections.
As of now you show little understanding of what SA does on a day to day basis, please elaborate and explain what they do so we know you understand the role. I advise reading other SA applications or speaking with SA.

Thank you for the feedback . It truly brings me joy. I will elaborate more soon, just give me a moment as I am a bit busy right now . I have this open as a tab for answering any questions or feedback . I really appreciate when people provide me with constructive criticism instead of just stating the obvious or reiterating what I have already mentioned in my application.

Thank you again,

Sincerely,

As much as I want to give you a +support it's kind of hard to since the exact same thing that happened during your ECA application seems to be happening again.

Your application is definitely remarkable and you put a lot of effort into the application, I can see that. However, you are repeating what you did before that was apart of the reason to your denial on your Ethics Assistant Application. I'll mention some complaints first
First of all, like you did during the ECA application, you are filling the replies to your application by responding in a negative way to critique and instead of putting it all in one message you reply separately, some times even multiple to the same message. Remember, you can edit messages that you send.

Now to some of your responses.

I didn't get denied because of my “less experience.” It was due to they wanted to see me more and for me to get to know how the ECA operates. There is nowhere stated in the requirements that you have to have held a former CL:4.

You said, "I didn't get denied because of my “less experience.”" and one sentence later you say "they wanted to see me more and for me to get to know how the ECA operates". That is exactly what "less experience" entails. They want you to get to know how ECA operates and that is basically saying that you have "less experience" than what they are looking for.

I have been recently active this week, already committed 20+ hours, I hope we encounter each other in game soon.
Yes, it's good that you're getting more active but you can't be applying for SA after just a week of experience. Saying that you just recently started getting active isn't really promising.

Side Note: I would love to become more informed about Site Administration, especially the Site Advisors' duties, if I pass both sections.
This also isn't extremely promising. You're basically saying that you don't have enough experience.

Outside from your responses, this application was made rather quickly after your ECA application and I can tell that you didn't rush it. You spent a lot of time making sure the application was well made. However, that also tells me that the ECA application was rushed and you most likely only made an attempt at ECA to gain CL4 experience for this application. This could very well just be me accusing you of something that isn't true and if so, I take it back. It just seems very likely that it is the case.

With all of that said, I really do think you have potential, you just need more experience.
I wish you good luck. Neutral -/+ leaning towards a -support

I'll be honest with you chief

SA is a senior position. You are expected to lead, create and further roleplay stories. It is highly suggested that you carry some sort of CL4 experience prior to applying for Site Administration, or any lead position as it'll allow those that process these applications to gauge their opinions based on what they know about your CL4 experience.

Cl3 just ain't enough

I really appreciate you taking the time to look into this. Just to clarify, I don’t have just one week of experience-that’s not quite accurate. In my previous application, I mentioned that I returned after a bit of a break, but it seems that may have been missed.

As for my response to Mase, I wrote that around 7 AM, so if anything came across oddly, it might have been the early hour.

Lastly, I know it might have seemed like I was taking things negatively, but that wasn’t my intention at all. It just gets a bit frustrating seeing “AI” mentioned repeatedly, even after I explained my side several times. As for the feedback on needing more experience, I honestly didn’t mind that much. I took in the critique and shared my thoughts in response.

Thank you for taking your time reading this I really appreciate it,

Sincerely,
