How many hours can you be on everyday: 6-12
Do you have any previous experience as a staff member in a community: Sort of, I applied to be staff on a different Gmod server before, but the appeal took so long that by the time I got into the staff team I was burned out on that server (due to circumstances I won't go into) and lasted a week before I decided to call it quits on that server entirely.
Tell us about something that you're proud that you've achived in-game: When I was playing on the server in 2023, I made it to LT.
During that time I had made a lot of friends, trained a lot of people, and brought a number into Nu-7 (which was my regiment at the time)
What I'm proud of is getting into the position I did, meeting the people I did, and knowing that the people I worked with and trained got into positions that I wouldn't have dreamed of.
Why would you like to become a staff member: I want to become staff because I personally enjoy this server a lot. I've had breaks every now and again due to personal reasons, but I have always come back because the server has a good community. In the past I never considered joining staff because, despite putting so much time in the server that I did, I never felt I had the free time to be able to commit to being staff due to where I was at the time, but I'm in a better headspace now and have a significant amount more to be able to commit to helping the community and the server.
If you could improve something on the staff team, what would it be and how would you do so: Recently, there was someone who's account was hacked that was posting scam content in Nu-7 comms, in my ignorance at the time I pinged Network Leadership because I didn't know what to do. Which then prompted them to tell me to contact the Platform Team (obviously).
I had gone 3 years without even knowing that the platforms team existed, and upon further examination the only place Platforms Team is mentioned on the entirety of the discord and the forum is in the Staff Hierarchy rule, a bit in the #support channel, as well as a single page on the staff handbook about the divisions.
I feel like it needs to be more known that the platform team even exists in the first place, which could be solved by having something on the Discord that goes into detail on all of the staff teams, what they do, and why you might need to call on their assistance like just adding it to the existing Server Ranking Structure in the #welcome channel.
