Executive Researchers play a big role in the Research Department by guiding the design, approval, and management of experiments. They ensure that all research activities are safe, organized, and properly documented. The main role of their job is to mentor and support Junior and Senior Researchers, giving advice and making sure protocols are followed. They also play the role as the voice of the Research Department, sharing concerns, updates, and ideas with higher level staff to keep operations smooth and effective.

Before joining the SCP Foundation, Dr. Kai Stone worked as an engineer, designing advanced weapons for the military. But everything changed when he stumbled across an anomalous entity during one of his projects. The anomaly was turned into a weapon, causing massive destruction and countless casualties. Site-65 had to step in, containing the entity and covering up the incident.
That experience stuck with Dr. Stone. He became obsessed with the potential of these anomalies, how they work, what they can do. With his strong background in biology and logistics, he was quickly brought into the Foundation and assigned to Site-65. There, he built a reputation for being hands-on and sharp, especially when leading experiments or handling emergencies.
These days, Dr. Stone is in deep, often at the center of high-risk research projects. He’s not afraid to tackle ethically messy situations if it means learning something new.
