Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?

I am applying for the role of Executive Researcher because I’ve always felt at home in the Foundation. Research has always been the first thing I’ve wanted to do from the tests to the documentation. But in my opinion it’s the people that make this community of research great. Before my break from research, I learned so much, but what helped me learn the most was the people that surrounded me.

After my time away I noticed how much I really loved the Research Department and how much I have grown because of this break. Over this break, I realized that I had so many dumb mistakes that were easily correctable. I want to return to the Executive position because I miss the ability to help others and be part of this community again.

What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?
I believe that I am suitable for the Executive Researcher role because of my experience, in the position, and my dedication to the overall role. I have spent lots of time working with different people and other departments that I have learned to easily adapt and help support others. I again feel that this rule is very easy for me to move into by the way I have made mistakes that I can correct and learn from, which just makes me that much more knowledgeable.

I feel as if I'm ready to take on the responsibility of leading research projects and guiding junior personnel. I have always loved helping others become more knowing of protocol and just making people feel supported.

Finally, I know the dangers that come with working on the site and I have learned from my mistakes and want to enforce high standards and professionalism on junior personnel, but also executive researchers this would just push my role that much further. I believe I can make this community safer and still feel supported.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written?

I’ve written 15-20 excellent-graded documents.
What makes a document excellent?

I believe that a document gets an excellent rating when it clearly communicates everything that the research aimed to complete without the reader being confused or needing to ask any more questions. I believe the details need to be covered fully and the findings need to be blatantly obvious. A great document helps the reader understand the purpose of the experiment without even needing to be there. Again, restating, great findings are vital to an excellent document because without findings, the research is almost for nothing.

As an Executive Researcher, my responsibilities are mostly on keeping the Research Department running. This includes:
  • Supervising researchers and helping them with their experiments, making sure proper procedures are followed.
  • Planning and leading/helping research projects while maintaining high standards protocol
  • Mentoring junior researchers and helping them develop skills
  • Responding to unexpected situations
  • Maintaining communication with other departments to ensure collaboration
  • Ensuring that all documentation is accurate so that research can be safe.
  • Motivating research and making a supportive, professional environment
