What will you do to stop this from happening again: I don’t think I did anything wrong except maybe I could have been a bit nicer about shooting a guy. (Also I never killed him i shot him once or twice I think)

Why should you be unbanned: So let me explain this. Today 2 rangers got killed by CI mayor says this happend. And I saw one get shot. So I trust his statement. Then I hear a ranger scream “Greenie hiding at gas station” I walk over and see a greenie pointing a gun at the original ranger who was walking over. At this time I was located behind the greenie while the secondary backup ranger was being aimed at. I shot the greenie once or twice because he was aiming and greenies were known to kill rangers. Then the back up ranger shot and killed him after the greenie turned around and killed me because I fuckin suck at the game lol. Anyways I continued to RP until I got pulled into a sit. Now before I continue this I just explain a real world scenario. So we are told 2 police officers were shot and killed by a terrorist organization. Then another police officer spots one of them. The ethical thing would be to question them so u try and walk over. The issue is they pull out a gun. Now what should a cop do if a suspect has a gun on another police officer? Shoot him the fuck dead. Anyways that’s a scenario I think is a good analogy. Ok so back to the sit. I get pulled into a sit right. The guy taking it says I rdmed this guy right off the bat and I say it was called out he was there. Then he accuses me of metagaming in a discord call because I am apart of PAM. I talked to leader of PAM and he says he thinks that guy was banned from PAM. Now just a question why was a former member of PAM allowed to take a sit on a person who he willingly knew was apart of PAM. So I requested a escalation. This escalation ive been told is buddies with greenies so I requested another staff member but they denied it. They continue with Ban even after I tried explaining myself. Look I don’t care if I get unbanned but I want this off my record. I am actually trying to RP and change my ways as a “known minge” according to the people who get angry at me in ooc. I want to tryout for a investigator but I can’t get banned like this. I think this ban was biased and not looked into. The clip provided by the reporter was trimmed so it did not show beginning or explain why 2 rangers got randomly shot by greenies. The clip is out of context. In summary I killed a greenie for being in the group that killed 2 rangers just earlier and then pointing a gun at another ranger, then I was falsely banned by a biased moderator. Do you have a clip or any proof that you knew the CI at the gas station was the one who gunned down a fellow ranger? I don't see any way of you confirming that other than walking closer and looking at the name above his head.

As I explained, he is apart of that group and then he starts pointing his gun at rangers? So first thing I think is to shoot him he is a terrorist who’s organization killed 2 people and is now what looks like it targeting a third

Thank you for taking the time to make a ban appeal.
Since Douglas is not online now, I figured I'd give my input instead of waiting for him to middleman it.

Regarding the sit, I was given a clip of the CI that was shot at while committing no hostile actions. Although I do see your analogy, there were ways that you and the rest of the rangers could've de-escalated the situation rather than choosing to KOS. Because C.I. are combatives, it is not unusual for them to have out guns, ready to fire at any given moment. The C.I. claimed that he didn't shoot anyone in his new life, which is backed up by logs. He died, respawned, and then the whole situation unfolded. You claimed that there was a callout of a hostile C.I. at gas station, which I saw no evidence of.
Regarding PAM, whether I was banned or not (which I wasn't, I left peacefully on my own terms), does not alter my decision-making in any way.

If you have anything that contradicts the claims that the C.I. made (such as a video of a callout being made), please post it. Otherwise, I strongly believe I made the correct decision in warranting RDM.

The clip was trimmed down to not show beginning where he aimed his gun at other ranger. Will create a formal response later as I am currently on a mountain skiiing

Its crazy everyone siding with the regi, the people that were there know exactly what happened, I seen the CI kill some people so I told a few rangers to go over there and stay alert, the CI guy aimed a gun after previously being called out for killing people in the game, the only clip you guys have is an 11 second clip, I don't remember 11 second clips being on medal, it goes in like 30 seconds, 1 minute, stuff like that, that means the clip had to be trimmed, plus theres logs of the CI guy killing people beforehand, no need for a clip when its right infront of your face.

Hi @Dman109,

After review of the clips and reading the messages above, I will be denying your ban appeal.

Regardless of any previous incidents, the relationship between each other, or what the mayor ordered, you are not allowed to immediately kill someone for having their weapon off safety and simply looking at you. You can tell them to turn on safety, or defend yourself if they begin shooting, but in the clip I see no threat against your character's life. In addition to this, I don't see any way of you confirming that he was the correct CI from any incidents beforehand. In the logs, this CI died on surface by a DEA sniper, respawned, and went to gas station 1 minute and 10 seconds later, then was shot by you. Nowhere in logs from his respawn to death do I see him attacking anyone, or you knowing whether this was the same person or a random CI running out of the base.

There doesn't seem to be any bias decision making in the punishment given to you, therefore the ban will stay on your record. If you feel CI is unfairly killing you or any fellow rangers, please report it to a staff member instead of initiating fights.
