What server you were banned on: SCP-RP (USA)

Your in-game name: Aubrey Chrake Kram

Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:511677233

Ban Reason: FailRP

Date of ban: 02/21/2025

Who banned you: Ruger

Ban length: 2 Days

What will you do to stop this from happening again: Be more cautious about infobreaches? I didn't start it/cause it, but I guess for future reference I'll make sure to not talk about it until It's guaranteed to be valid

Why should you be unbanned: For context, there was an infobreach regarding SCP 001 (it was later told to be "false" even though I saw someone with a document talking about it, but go off I guess) and I was talking about it to my other D-Class. I was kicked, then banned for doing so, even though it made sense lore wise and wasn't even started by me. I don't think the infobreach was false, and if it was, I shouldn't be the one that's punished for it.

Hello @TessCancer I was the one who issued your ban, and I’d like to clarify the reason behind it. You were not the only individual involved, but the core issue was repeated behavior that we had warned you about multiple times. Specifically, you were repeatedly cautioned for info-breaching in Dblock by sharing a false info breach document. Despite several warnings, you continued this behavior and even laughed about it with others, which ultimately led to your ban.

On top of warnings to stop, you were kicked first for FailRP, you proceeded to come back, warned again to stop, then banned because you continued to do so.

1) I didn't share any "documents". Other people were talking about it, I was literally just going off of what other people said.

2) The credibility of the infobreach was shaky. Given the fact that people (with documents IN HAND) were talking about it, and continued to talk about it after my kick, I feel like a ban for what was not only not started by me, but wasn't even really propagated by me, is unfair.

Also, yeah, I laughed about it because the entire situation was stupid. I was the only person kicked despite 20+ other people talking about it as well in D-Block.

Hello @TessCancer ,

When it comes to info breaching, regardless of who started the info breach, every player is responsible for maintaining RP and ensuring that their actions are within our server rules. From the information in the response above, you were told on multiple occasions that the information that you were speaking about, in your case SCP-001, was a false info breach. Being told by a member of staff that the information you are spreading is invalid is enough to know to stop speaking about that topic. The choice of coming back, even following a kick and continuing this behavior is what resulted in further punishment. While I agree that if multiple people are breaking the rules, that doesn't set them above you in regards to punishment, I feel as though this situation came down to you repeatedly breaching our server rules in this small time frame. Regardless of who started the false info breach, you were taking part in it, and in the process were breaking our rules on FailRP.

For these reasons, I have decided to deny this appeal.
