What will you do to stop this from happening again: Next time, if I am put in a RP situation I feel uncomfortable in I will report it to staff immediately and allow them to stop the coercing behavior before it is escalated to this.
Why should you be unbanned: I was unfairly banned for not participating in a roleplay scenario I felt uncomfortable in. A person by the name Violet Beans attempted to coerce me into using pronouns I did not feel comfortable using as it contradicted their player model. Completely ignoring my opinion, faith, and feelings towards the situation making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe in the environment. Staff was called for the situation however when brought up the staff member did not raise any concerns about what was going on and said to finish the RP. They then proceeded to break rule, "1.07 Breaking Character" and said they would report us to staff if we did not obey their opinions on how the situation should be handled. I wish for this to be investigated as my feelings and opinions towards what I feel safe roleplaying as was ignored. I attempted to give clear boundaries on what I felt comfortable roleplaying and I was threatened and harassed for having differing opinions on what I feel is appropriate for me to roleplay. As Epictetus once said, "Some things are in our control and others not. Things in our control are opinion, pursuit, desire, aversion, and, in a word, whatever are our own actions."
As a minor I felt very uncomfortable in the situation and did not want to participate in their roleplays.
