What will you do to stop this from happening again: I will be more careful when handcuffed and make sure i'm not using things i shouldn't be even when glitched. I was unsure if using a vial of 106 was acceptable in the situation. As i still had access to all the things in my inventory and i'm not used to being restrained with elastic cuffs when being arrested. From my perspective I couldn't tell that i was actually cuffed and or gagged. It was glitching out. It didn't help that i just got revived. So i wasn't sure if i was restrained or not.

This whole situation was done as a joke between Site Admin Coke and myself. He was doing an RP to get a consultant to give me anti psychotic drugs against my will and i was avoiding it. It got out of hand when ISD got involved and thats when the problems started.

Hello Henry,

The clip you have provided unfortunately does not work- what I observed through a clip given to me by another player is that he was standing in front of you while you were elastic restrained with the elastic rope going from the front of your person to him. From my perspective, it was very easy to tell that you were elastic restrained.

Upon consulting server leadership, it was determined to be more of a case of FailRP since you still took out chemicals while in elastic restraints and used them while gagged. In the clip I was provided, you also took out the 106 vial and drank it immediately after being gagged.

I did request server leadership to add "Minor Glitching" to the ban reason along with the FailRP.

I had no idea i was gagged. All i remember is being told "hey let us handcuff you. Don't resist" and thats when I was like "WAIT i am not handcuffed Im going to take 106 and book it"

It was a very fast paced situation. I just got revived so i wasn't sure exactly what was going on.

I was under the impression that to drag someone when they are down you have to restrain them but when they revive they are no longer in restraints. I was going under this impression and basing my actions on this. So when i was revived I backpedaled and went for my 106.


As you can see from this image. The Handcuffs were being very strange. They were not the elastic red color and my hands were not bound. I was also not getting any of the elastic pull like you would if the handcuffs were working properly. So from my perspective I was not handcuffed. I didn't have any indication on my screen of being bound or handcuffed and I was focused on a conversation with Bishop not the person who cuffed me. I was attempting to talk myself out of being arrested but when I backpedaled into a corner and there was no way out. I went for my vial of 106 because I was anticipating them handcuffing me.


I had no intention of Fail RP. I even told Recker that if this was deemed illegitimate or unfair, I would be willing to do an RP reset and allow ISD to arrest me as if the 106 never happened. But Apparently higher level staff deemed that an unsuitable solution.

I was honest, polite and cooperative with this process. I had no intention of breaking any rules. No serious harm or offense was caused by this situation. I believe a verbal warning and a conversation about it would have been an appropriate response according the the punishment guidelines. Especially since i've never been in a situation like this before. All my Fail RP warns regard combat as a thaumatologist. Which to be honest, are very easy warns to get when playing the class, as the self defense rules are not exactly intuitive. I have advanced significantly and have adopted new tactics to handle things in mostly peaceful ways. I would greatly appreciate if this ban could be shortened to perhaps 3 days - 1 week instead of 10 days.

Thanks for taking the time to make a ban appeal.

After review of the logs and chatting with the staff member, I will be modifying your ban. It is considered FailRP for anyone to consume chemicals while cuffed/gagged even if they are glitched, and taking advantage of this can be considered minor glitching. However, the stacked bans should've been applied to your next ban, not this one.

Your ban will be reduced from 10 days to 7 days, and the reason changed from "FailRP + Stacked Bans" to "FailRP [X] | Minor Glitching"
