What will you do to stop this from happening again: I will make a greater effort to read every single lyric of a song and make sure their is nothing inappropriate in the lyrics
Why should you be unbanned: Id like to start by saying that im under the impression that i was banned for a 24 second clip where the key words "now we're naked" were said by me. Now, from certain perspectives i can understand why someone might come to the conclusion i was doing inappropriate conduct. However, i think looking at the full context of the situation, i believe being banned for 3 days was someone a harsh punishment. in this 24 second clip, i was singing lyrics from the popular song "Moves Like Jagger", where those lyrics pop up. The song starts...
"Just shoot for the stars if it feels right
Then aim for my heart if you feel like it
Take me away, and make it okay
I swear ill behave
you wanted control, so we waited
i put on a show, now we're naked - (problem lyric)
you say im a kid, my ego is a big
i dont give a shit..."
I think looking at the context of what was said, i dont see how this situation would be labeled as inappropriate Conduct. I feel like the delcom who was being sung too was very clearly not under any impression that these were acts i was doing to him, rather songs that i had chosen to sing to him because i liked those songs. I say this because i had CLEARLY STATED to said delcom that everytime he gave us unsatisfactory answers in his interrogation, his punishment would be to listen to me sing and be forced to dance and cheer me on. If i at any point made said delcom uncomfortable i would like to apologize as that was not my intention, and if something was told to me either through OOC, LOOC, PMS, or any other out of character source, i would have stopped singing and let someone else take over. I would also like to note that i tried my best whilst singing and reading the lyrics to censor things i thought were inappropriate for the context of the server.
Now if i was banned for a different clip, i havent seen it and thus cant really respond to it, but i would like to say most of what i said above still applies. i was singing a song and some of the lyrics may have been more than pg13.
Im just gonna end this off by saying whilst i can see how a staff might think this situation was inappropriate, given full context (which would have been provided had someone from the staff team informed me of their concerns) i think a ban is somewhat extreme given the lighthearted nature of the situation. Im sorry if the delcom was made uncomfortable by the situation and truly wish that if he was, he would have communicated it some way to me instead of playing along.
