What server you were banned on: SCP-RP (USA)

Your in-game name: Kuma

Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:65862762

Ban Reason: MRDM

Date of ban: 03/30/2026

Who banned you: Mitchel B \'Duck\' James(STEAM_0:0:155466171)

Ban length: 1 week 21 hours 38 minutes

What will you do to stop this from happening again: I am honestly unaware of what I have been banned for. I never committed any RDM let alone MRDM—as far as I am aware. I remember playing and this guy was near me and said he was going to snitch that I had a gun or something, and D-Class are criminals, so I killed him. I know there was a couple other tussles I got into if I remember correctly, but I wasn't even on when I was banned. I was not spoken to by any admins while I was active. My recollection is hazy, so I'm also looking to see what exactly happened because I genuinely was just RP-ing so—I'm confused.

Why should you be unbanned: I'm not malicious, I was just RP-ing in a manner that seemed appropriate for a death row inmate—taking out "rats" especially when they audibly say it to you, getting into a seemingly mutually-agreed skirmish, and so on. I mean rules are rules so it is what it is at the end of the day, but could I at least be informed on the context?

Hello @TheNorseman, I am Mitchel or the staff member that issued this ban. This was issued March 30th - after receiving notice of a couple of individuals who had done some MRDM the day before. Upon loading in I reviewed a few logs that we had, and noted down a couple of individuals who initiated combat first, I then counted out the number of times combat was initiated on fellow team members.

After doing the above I noted down those who had hit 4 or more initiated combats, those that had an excess amount received 2 week bans for the above (MRDM), while I do apologize that it was issued offline, all penalties got issued a day after the incident occurred.

With the above stated, I will no longer be commenting or adding anything else to your appeal, and I wish you the best of luck with this appeal.

Well what could the conditions for "initiating combat" be?

If someone is shooting at me and missing their shots, and I manage to get the first hit, is the context of me getting shot at going to be considered, or in the logs?

Issuing 2 week long bans without regard to the context of any of the initiations of combat seems a bit excessive. But you're the boss.

Appeal Accepted

Good afternoon, @TheNorseman

Due to a lack of available context beyond the logs, there is no way to confirm if the killings were done in bad faith or not without clipped evidence or any sort of implicating explanation through voice or chat logs. As such, the ban will be removed.

You will be able to rejoin the server immediately.
