What server you were banned on: SCP-RP (USA)

Your in-game name: Oliver ‘Hangman’ Oswald

Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:148349143

Ban Reason: MRDM

Date of ban: Thu Sep 18 20:00:42 2025

Who banned you: Vitaly Petrenko

Ban length: 2 Weeks

What will you do to stop this from happening again: I will no longer give any orders to 912 to kill everybody inside the D Block. I hope that this is the incident that the ban is in relation to. The only course of action that I can possibly take is for me to interact as little as possible with the class D whilst having a character with a gun in my hand. Whenever that condition is met I nearly always put myself in a staff sit due to my actions.

Why should you be unbanned: Honestly there are not that many reasons to unban me. I was honestly surprised yesterday that I received at the time only a warning. My actions have harmed the experience of multiple other players who wanted to have an enjoyable day.
Sadly, this is not a single incident either. My warn and ban records keep expanding, and it does not help that I am messing around the site as much as I do. While I did cut out the part of me that got me banned twice for mass toxicity it is not enough. I *really* must stop messing around.
Yesterday I assumed responsibility in the sit that happened in relation to the event and tried to apologize to 912 if he received any warnings due to my actions. Still, that does not make up for the fact that MRDM was committed due to the order that I have given to them.

Hello @Oliver Oswald

After speaking to the staff member involved, it seems your ban was due to an 096 incident. Namely running around flashing the picture to several people and trying to take it into D-block before being murdered. Not for a 912 incident.

if you wish to appeal this you may need to update your appeal to reflect this scenario.

I've attached a clip here of the scenario as reported.

Regards, Merrick.

I see.
Initially I thought that the ban was in relation to the 912 incident. I am now attaching a clip of the actions that took part during the 096 incident.
Here is the incident from my POV. Youtube.
Indeed at the beginning of the clip I directly tried to send the picture inside the D Block. At 0:16, on the death screen there was no 096 listed as flagged on. After the O-1 mentions 096 cb at 01:22 I check the player list at roughly 01:30 and found no SCP 096 flagged on. At roughly 03:43 I had to tab out as I had to attend to some matters inside the house. I have my OBS set up so that the audio is obtained using the Capture Audio (BETA) function and when I tabbed out the audio was cut out. That is why there is no audio at roughly 05:20 when the sit began. Attaching screenshot of OBS settings:

While my actions were deplorable and I fully deserve a punishment for Fail RP, given that I should have just destroyed that picture and not actively tried to cause a Code 4 Breach, I have not caused an MRDM as there was no player flagged as 096 at the time.

Appeal Denied

Hi @Oliver Oswald ,

Thanks for taking the time to make a ban appeal.

As a clearance level 3 you are aware of what an 096 image is, With this knowledge you still (whilst exposing yourself), had decided to try and place the image into d-block. This would have caused the deaths of a good dozen+ People. Now while 096 was not flagged on and not causing damage, this lack of a player playing 096 does not change the fact that if they were on. They would have had a large amount of targets to kill, Including yourself. This would then negative impact both D-class as they would be spawn camped whilst 096 RC efforts are made.

To summarise, While deaths did not occur, you had intent. Which is a crucial part that plays into MRDM bans.

You may re-appeal in 1 week.
