What will you do to stop this from happening again: I am a new player. I will read up on the rules of the game. I really really want to have fun in this community and did not mean any harm. I try to immerse myself in the RP experience and that is one of the primary reasons I wanted to join this community.
Why should you be unbanned: Hello Moderators, I am a newcomer to the SCP RP community and had in fact just joined the server little more than an hour ago. I spawned in as a Class-D, I was excited to try out this new RP environment and a player told me to collect scrap for good items and level up so you can become different positions in the SCP Foundation (This person had texted this because I have no headset and thus cannot hear what anyone is saying in the speaker chat, Mod who banned me can support this claim). While I was grinding the scrap metal on the floor I came across a frag grenade that I got while farming scrap piles, I didn't know what it did so I equipped and threw it. I don't think anyone died from the explosion but I am not so sure. I received the next item called a bayonet knife while I was in the shower area of the D-Block. I had seen some other cell mates killing people with the knife and one Class-D called "bernie" followed me around in the showers and stabbed me twice with a knife. When I got this knife I thought it would be okay to attack my aggressor. The reason I was in the showers in the first place is that I wanted to check out what I could buy for scrap just to make that clear. My aggressor bernie left the showers and I just began griding the scrap in the shower area because I found it to be the most efficient way to get scrap (Keep in your mind I had obtained the knife and had it in my possession). While I was griding for scrap multiple people came into the room and began talking to one another I don't think no more than 4 but 2 were afk and not talking. ( IK this via the voice boxes above their heads). Then after this time period Bernie came in. I was in the back left hand corner of the showers and multiple people were in front of my location seperating me from Bernie. I tried to move my way through these people to Bernie but there is this weird glitch where you sometimes can't go past people so I did decided to pull out my knife and start attacking the people in my way. I do not remember the specifics but I think I killed 4 people in total. 1 afk, 3 who I know were walking around. Bernie had left the showers and this point and I tried following him. There was this one guy who came into the showers as I was leaving and I for some reason engaged him. I may have damaged him once or twice in the shower area and the hallway to the shower (I decided to engage this person as well because of the experience points I recieved from killing my fellow class d's, I perceived this as another way to rank up and got more opportunities open to me). As he was running away I was pulled into what I think is a moderator chamber but this person. Idk if he was a mod but I guess he was. I am a new player and I really don't have any clue on to how the server operates. The only reason I got into this perdicament is that I was trying to get a feel on to how the game worked and what the progression system was. I tried to explain that I was a new player and I did not know the rules of the server. He said he had no say in the matter because he say what I was doing and decided to act. I believe I had barely been in the server for an hour and had only gotten out of the class d cell block once for research testing. This mod banned me for Mass RDM and highly suggested that I should go and appeal this ban. This mod was very courteous toward me and I believe he did everything by the book and I guess because I was a new player made no exceptions to the rules. I don't know if not having a headset affected this ban at all but if I acctually had a headset and other class d's told me to stop I would have stopped because as a RP player myself I would not want to ruin the mood of the moment. That is just the worst feeling as an RP player I believe. I don't believe this was an entirely just ban time period based on my circumstances but that I why I wrote this appeal form out to appeal this verdict. Let me restate that I did not know that killing fellow teamates was a banable offense and I would never try to ruin the RP experience for others on purpose. It would be helpful though if someone informed me on the proper way to use such combative weapons against your fellow teamates (Class-Ds) for future reference. This would be much appreciated Admins and Staff Members who read the appeal. Thank you for talking some time out of your day to review this appeal. I know you will make the best judgement possible for this case. I have heard from others that this is a very just and fair community and I am looking foward to see what you guys have to say.
