What server you were banned on: SCP-RP (USA)

Your in-game name: "Stonewall"

Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:153827909

Ban Reason: FailRP [E]

Date of ban: Mon | Jun 17th | 3:11pm EST | 2024

Who banned you: Sleuth

Ban length: 3 Days

What will you do to stop this from happening again: I will stop opening the D-Block checkpoint door as a Tech Expert and just do my normal duties as a Tech Expert by repairing foundation camera and computers.

Why should you be unbanned: I didn't know that opening the door as a tech expert was a bannable offense as I was under the impression that it was an IC issue not an OOC Issue. Plus, I am sorry for interrupting RP as someone told me their was an SCP breach in D-Block. Also, I would like to say after looking over the rules I can't seem to find where its written down that opening the door as a Tech expert is FailRP, if it is can I have the link and can it be posted in staff rulings as so it can't be broke again by other players.

Hey Stonewall!
First off, I would like to state that during the sit, I never stated: "Opening the doors as a Tech Expert is FailRP"

The issue at hand was this: There was an active Code 3 as there was a confirmed SCP-008 spore located inside of D-Block. It was stated multiple times by multiple parties including: Internal Affairs, MTF Regiments such as Omega-1 & Alpha-1, Site Administration and Ethics that non-combatives must leave D-Block as they were trying to contain the spore and the spread of it.
During this time, you specifically were told multiple times to:

A. Stop opening the door so D-Class could get out
B. Stop opening the door leading into D-Block as that was causing other people that shouldn't be there to enter
and C. Leave and allow people to do their jobs so no more issues could arise.

When I brought you to the sit, an Admin had stated in staff chat to bring you for FailRP reasons as you were doing the above stated in blue. During the sit, I had explained to you what you had done, and even gave an in-depth explanation to it, explaining that you opening the door to troll and attempt to let D-Class out was not something you should be doing as a tech expert.

You receiving a ban was NOT because you were doing so, the reasoning for your ban was because this was the
5th Offense of FailRP in the last 3 months, as you had 4 previous FailRP warnings back in May. I asked a member of SL to verify if one of your warnings was a duplicate and it was confirmed by both yourself AND that member of SL that it wasn't, so instead of a 1 week ban, it was a 3 day as a Class E punishment for FailRP is a 3 day ban.

Appeal Denied

Hello @TrillzLit ,

Thanks for taking the time to make a ban appeal.

Based on the information provided and taking a look at your history of warnings for the same offenses, I think it would be best for you to take a step back away from the server and reflect on why this situation would fall under FailRP. You stated you didn't see anything in the rules, but it's clear this would be FailRP."FailRP stands for "fail roleplay." It's when someone acts in a very unrealistic way that their character would not do. Decisions must be realistic, and players must stay in character." Please wait out this ban and attempt to reconnect with the server in a more positive way when you return.

Thank you,
Boris
