What will you do to stop this from happening again: In the Future, I will pay more attention to what others are saying and leave the area to prevent myself being connected with people that are doing that.
Why should you be unbanned: I believe I should be unbanned because I understand that the situation escalated further than it should have, but I did not intend to harass or target the reporting party. We had formed a Union within D-Block, consisting of around 5–6 people. When someone informed GENSEC about the Union, GENSEC entered the inner D-Block, used force against us (Flashbangs, Tear gas, etc), and began cuffing and killing us in the Dblock. This caused tensions to escalate, and the union attacked the person who had informed GENSEC. I personally killed the reporting party once. I also stabbed him a few additional times during the situation, but my intention was not to repeatedly target, bully, or harass him. At one point, he also punched me, which contributed to my decision to kill him. I understand now that, regardless of the circumstances leading up to it, repeatedly attacking the same player can cross the line into harassment under Rule 2.05. I also want to clarify that I have no history of harassment related offenses that I am aware of, and I believe this is my first ban on the server. The reporting party is actually someone I have roleplayed with before, and I have no personal issue with him. During the staff sit, I even asked if I could apologize to him for the situation, but I was not given the opportunity before being banned. I am not trying to excuse what happened. Looking back, I should have recognized that the situation was escalating and stopped participating rather than continuing the retaliation. If I am unbanned, I will make sure to keep IC conflicts within reasonable RP boundaries and immediately stop if a situation begins turning into repeated targeting or personal harassment. I will also make sure that I understand Rule 2.05 and the server's expectations better going forward. I am asking for another chance because this was not something I intended to turn into harassment, I have no prior history of this type of behavior, and I am willing to take responsibility for my part in the situation. I would appreciate the opportunity to return to the server and demonstrate that I can follow the rules and contribute positively to the community as I enjoy playing the server and enjoy the people within the community.
