I was cheating and Network Leadership caught me.

What is your side of the story?:
I want to return to the staff team, not as an authority figure, but as someone who can support and guide others. My last appeal felt rushed, so I took a step back to reconnect with the community. Along the way, I met new people, strengthened old connections, and gained a better understanding of where I fit in. I’ve also taken on new challenges in my RP journey, exploring paths I never expected. It hasn’t always been easy, but the drive to help others has never gone away. I want to bring that same energy back to the team and contribute in a way that makes a real difference.


Why should you return / what will you change?:
I want to crack down on professionalism, accountability, and leadership within the team. In the past, I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference it makes when people feel heard and valued, whether they listen to me or not. Even something as small as a weekly check in or a quick question can go a long way. I know I’ve let some people down, and I don’t expect that to be forgotten overnight. But over time, I believe we can move forward and focus on what’s ahead, especially for the sake of the server. There are a lot of changes that could improve things, and even though I’m just an RP figure at the moment, I hope to put these changes in to effect to help everyone.​

As I can recall we have never met or spoken to each other regardless of that I have some personal "issues" with your appeal as well as questions,

you stated: I want to crack down on professionalism, accountability, and leadership within the team.

How can we trust you on this as the reason for your demotion isn't a light offence especially when you were representing the Community and the staff team as a SL member at the time? and breaking the things you want to "crackdown" on?


How can we trust you to return to the staff team without misusing the spectate feature, console commands, or any other tools to gain an unfair advantage over others?

While i acknowledge that you reached the position of Department Director of Research and have contributed to the community, i do not believe you are suited for a staff position at this time.

Personally, I do not feel comfortable allowing you back on the staff team or entrusting you with tools, handling situations, or assuming responsibilities.

In the event this gets accepted i will only entrust you with the rank of moderater

Cheating in such a position of trust and power is a massive offense.
Can you provide any examples of how you have improved and what you have changed to make sure you dont repeat this again. Being a member of the staff team means you represent the entire community as a whole, especially to new players.

It puzzles why do you choose to try and become staff again, why not just settle for some roleplay positions like SPA/Inspector/GSD Captain etc?Finally, what rank are you actually trying to aim for, do you seek to become an Administrator again or just become a regular moderator?

I understand the concerns and respect your perspective. If being a Moderator is what it takes, then I’m more than willing to start there. However, my goal isn’t just to gain your trust back, it’s mainly to prove myself to Ventz, Yeke and the NL team. They gave me an opportunity after my removal and, more importantly, didn’t issue a staff blacklist. I take that as a sign of respect for the work I put in before and continue to put in now, regardless of my past.

I also want to clarify that I have never misused staff powers, tools, or access, before or after my removal. I’d appreciate it if assumptions weren’t made based solely on the reason for my removal. I’m here to move forward and prove my commitment through actions, not just words.

I appreciate the opportunity to clarify my intentions. Currently, I serve as the Director of Research and an Ethics Assistant for the SCP-RP USA server, which I believe shows my dedication and growth within the community.

It shouldn’t be a surprise why I want to put my time and effort into improving the experience for others. There’s no specific rank or position I’m aiming for, I want back in for the same reason I joined in the first place; to help others enjoy the server as much as I do.

I’d also like to state that, regardless of how people may personally feel about me, I have never used my position to gain an advantage over others in any situation. I held my place with genuine respect, made a mistake, and got caught. My focus has always been on Ventz’s best interests, and I believe that, both before and after my removal, the only real impact caused internally was trust issues, not any major disruption.

Unfortunately, you can’t appeal to everyone, but as I mentioned before, my main goal is to regain Network Leadership’s trust, as they were the ones most affected. If you’re going to provide criticism on why you think I should or shouldn’t return, I’d appreciate it if it wasn’t done in a hostile tone. I’ve made an effort to be respectful to everyone, regardless of their intent, and I’d expect the same in return.

Cheating effects the entire server as it provides you with an unfair balance against other players. This is not hostile, its honesty. If that's what you perceive to be rude then that's on you.

If all you are doing is appealing to Network Leadership and not understanding you need to win back trust from staff of all levels and even the player base, then you should not be given any ability to moderate in this community or make decisions on a staff level due to that fractured trust.

Hey this was meant in the way of gaining advantages over others as you were cheating this was your main intent(that I can assume) what ever cheat it was I don't care in the end of the day you cheated to gain an advantage right? bhopping esp aimbot radar, manipulation of files. is all to gain an advantage.

if you were giving back the power to have an advantage over others how can we ensure you are not using these tools outside of OOC interactions/staff duties?

this app shows false positive on almost everything. Dusk always uses formal and a a high grade writing form in which he always tries to bring quality to it (from what i seen and experienced)it doesn’t look IA to me personally.

Wanna step in here, the guy is known on US server for their high effort work and also an older member of the server. Those AI results are also very wonky. This guy writes the same as I do using different words to enhance his writing. Seems all valid to me.

If I had ever done anything suspicious in the past, Network Leadership would have had every reason to blacklist me completely. But I’ve only ever done what I was supposed to, using the tools I was given. Cheating or not, my position and the authority that came with it had nothing to do with why I was removed.

I also really appreciate you being willing to have a reasonable conversation about this while keeping the team’s integrity at the center of it all. That kind of fairness means a lot

Hey Dusk,
As you know we have had this discussion 1 on 1 not too long ago. While I believe that cheating is a detriment to the server as a whole in regard to trust and more, especially in such a high position, you genuinely seem to have a vested interest in return to staff. You have been actively trying to better things in the US server itself for a lot of the player base and every interaction I have had with you for a long time has been good. It has shown me that you have a level head, and you seemed, to me, to show remorse for your actions. I have read how you write, and I don't believe your content here is AI generated. I hope you can genuinely be able to convince people that you have changed a new leaf and will not resort to cheating again, and at the very least you can start anew and work your way back up to prove yourself, if that is what it takes.
