I would like to start by expressing how deeply sorry I am for letting down so many people with my past actions. I know that most people don’t fully understand, and unfortunately may never understand, the complete picture of my abrupt departure from CivilNetworks. For that, I am truly sorry. I’m placing this in the staff demotion section because my situation is unique in certain respects, and more importantly, to show respect for those who had to deal with the consequences of my actions.​

This is my first ban.

What is your side of the story?:
For personal reasons, I'd rather not going to too much detail so I'll keep that, I was cheating Network leadership found out I served my punishment and I'm ready to get back on the horse.

Why should you return / what will you change?:
If you want to hear my blunt side.

I've noticed a lot of unprofessional behavior among the staff. Many staff members have been delaying responsibilities and taking an unnecessarily long time to get things done. From an outsider's perspective, there seems to be a lack of organization, and overall, it feels like the quality of the staff team has dropped significantly.

I'd like to return and help motivate the team to perform at their best, even though it’s essentially an unpaid role in a video game. During my time in server leadership, I did my best to organize tasks and ensure everyone contributed equally, without being overly harsh. I also focused on training team members to the best of my ability and giving everyone equal opportunities to try new things.

The rank was cool and people called me old man all the time.​

Though you've only recently re-joined the community I feel as though you were a good staff member up until you made the mistakes of which you did, From a player stand point you were a really good staff member to talk to and get a second opinion on things so I'd like to see you back in the staff team to better Staff v Player relations since a lot of trust for staff has been lost over the months.

In addition of course I'd like to hope the actions you did never occur again but I look forward to hopefully seeing you back in the community as a staff member.

While you were a good O-1 during my time as Chairman, I cannot justify supporting your return. During your tenure in Server Leadership, you were caught cheating, which undermines the trust necessary for such a position. For this reason, I don't believe you should rejoin the staff team.

I think you can find a place back in this community undoubtedly, but I don't believe that it should be as a staff member.

Cheating as an SL member is egregious and you'll need to do much more to earn back enough trust to come back as a staff member in any position.

Hi @Dusk

Thankyou for taking the time to make an appeal, however after discussion, we have decided to deny your appeal at this time.

The reasoning for this is you have only just made a return to the service and jumped straight back into the position of executive quite quickly and whilst you are eager to get back into the swing of things, I believe this is time best served re-learning the community on your return, as things have changed since your initial removal.

I would like to see you back for another month at least before appealing again, so we can see you demonstrating your commitment to re-learning the community to serve and also show us that you are able to manage expectations without overloading yourself or becoming to engrossed in the network that it harms your personal life.
