Do you have any previous experience as a staff member in a community?:
- Yes. I was server staff for another rp server. At the time I was a Senior Moderator, their duties being similar to the Senior Moderator duties within this community. I would monitor those who were frequently breaking the rules in order to get further evidence before bans, we were expected to help out new players and assist them in finding their feet, if there was a report where two individuals were fighting and it got a little too heated of course we would be expected to go and defuse the situation and reprimand whoever needed it accordingly.
Do you have any previous experience with serious roleplay?:
- Not on GMod, but I have extensive experience with serious roleplay on GTA servers, as well as Red Dead. I have been in numerous in-character command positions and of course was expected to lead by example; both by following ic rules, ooc rules, and of course ensuring to remain in character and to make sure to keep any in-character conflicts completely in character.
How many hours can you be on everyday?:
- It really depends, on average I'm probably on for at least 5 hours usually.
Why do you want to become a moderator for our server?:
- I really enjoy the rp side of ensuring the foundation is running smoothly, which is why I'm on IA most of the time. However, I'd like to assist in the OOC side of things and help to enforce the server rules, and to ensure that everyone is having a good time. That's ultimately why we're all here.
What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special over the other applicants?:
- I have a lot of experience ic, and a little ooc, in maintaining a community. I understand how important it is that both ic and ooc rules are followed, however I also understand that you should not be overly harsh where it is not necessary. It's important to ensure that any punishments are completely fair, and to also give people ample opportunity to prove that they will not repeat the same mistake before immediately jumping to the worst punishment. Overall, it's important to ensure that everyone is having a good time, because that's what keeps a community thriving.
So I believe I could assist in defusing difficult situations, and making sure that those who need to be reprimanded, are reprimanded accordingly...but are also allowed to prove that they've learned from previous incidents.
