What server are you applying for: SCP-RP (USA)
Your Username: ChunkyComet
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:456584880
Discord Username: ChunkyComet
Age: 19
What's your current playtime: 24 hours
Do you have a mic: Yes
Your characters name: Atika Partun
Is this the first application you made? If no, link all previous applications: Yes
Have you received any kicks/warns/bans, and if so, why: No
How many hours can you be on everyday: 4-10
Do you have any previous experience as a staff member in a community: Yes. Junior Administrator on a previous SCP-RP server over a year ago, before resigning due to IRL complications. I directly assisted Management with their duties, handled issues with the map and permanent entities/worldprop, and supervised the lower moderation team. I also subbed in for the Event team.
Tell us about something that you're proud that you've achieved in-game: Taking on the combined forces of CI, Foundation, and UN as 912, and becoming a Site Advisor's personal assistant as a D-boy, and becoming a temporary FISA member.
Why would you like to become a staff member: While engaging in my own roleplay interactions is fun, I really enjoy ensuring other people can enjoy their time and engagement in everything they do as well, and overall want to prevent this server from losing interest over time and eventually ending with the fate of many other servers. That being losing it's dedicated playerbase and gaining a new favoritism from players who focus entirely on ensuring they have fun and not caring for the other players involved.
If you could improve something on the staff team, what would it be and how would you do so: Engagement of duties. Even though I haven't been around for as long as many players, I've seen several times players having to go into OOC chat and ask the administrative team to look at the tickets and respond to them, sometimes never actually getting a response. This is one of the big issues other servers have as well, with staff of lower ranks being too engaged with their own activities to remember their job, and staff of higher ranks ignoring said duties because the people below them are supposed to do it instead. Now, I have no idea how this server's ticket system works besides the knowledge that there exists a quota, but the last administrative position I held, we had a ticket system that would display the total ticket count of the past week, and the number of tickets each person with moderation or administrative permissions had taken that week. This may not be possible here, but I personally would install a incentive system at the least. Every ticket and staff interaction should be recorded and/or documented, if you continue to do your job well, you keep your incentives from your position (being VIP, priority, etc.). However, if you don't show any signs of fulfilling your duties over an extended period of time, you may lose said incentives, and if you are caught being active on the server, with several unattended tickets or requests, you may even lose your position.
If the issue arises of tickets becoming a competitive system for moderation, then we either A. have an unnecessary number of moderation, or B. someone(s) is intentionally sitting on the server, unengaged, just to increase their ticket count. If you have already handled several incidents, you should give other active staff members a short period of time (no more than a minute) to respond to said incident/ticket, unless it involves an urgent matter. And, as per the 1 minute rule, this is not an excuse to ignore your duties.
