Have you received any kicks/warns/bans, and if so, why: I've received one warning for "FailRP FearRP". The warning was given by Ty Keck on behalf of Johnathon Doe. The FearRP was because I was clicking my mouse a few times while in elastics (was told to not break out, had a gun on me), and the FailRP was given for "not complying with the ISD arrest", as according to Ty Keck, it's something that my character would not do in real life.

I completely understand why I've gotten this warning, and I have learned since. I've read the rules over again, and can promise that I have learned from this experience, and have/will take extra care not break the rules going forward.

How many hours can you be on everyday: I can be on for 4-8 hours per day.

Do you have any previous experience as a staff member in a community: Yes, I've been moderating game/Discord servers since I was ~13. I've moderated several Discord communities, many Minecraft servers, and a few Roblox games. This would be my only current moderator position, and my first Garry's Mod experience as a moderator!

Tell us about something that you're proud that you've achived in-game: My greatest achievement so far has been creating my XP guide. Although at the moment it's nearing completion and has not been fully released, I've found it super fulfilling and fun to document the niche game mechanics in-depth and make a document surrounding them. The feedback I've gotten has positive so far, and I hope that this XP guide will help new and old players level up in their own way.

The document was inspired from some tutorials (in the tutorials section of the forums), and the chemical/food "cookbooks" which are extremely useful. Seeing how helpful those have been to myself and other players, I decided to make my own on the topic of XP methods.

Why would you like to become a staff member: Civil Networks has been my favorite server/game for a while now, and I have a passion for helping others out. Whether it's a new ISD Agent trying to learn the ropes, a confused Class-D trying to learn how to earn XP, or one of my CI buddies that's confused about how to make chemicals, I love to help others have a good time on the server.

I've seen how staff operate, and I believe that I can truly leave a lasting positive impact on the server, the players, and the staff team. In addition, the experience would be personally fulfilling, and a large step-up from my regular roleplay. I love playing jobs such as ISD, and although being a staff member is completely different, the core principles are very similar: fairness, investigation, judgement, professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness.

Although the staff team puts in lots of effort, unfortunately, some rule-breakers still slip through the cracks. There's been many times where I personally have been online during busy hours, and sometimes there's just just too many sits with too few staff. In these scenarios, it can be very annoying and disheartening to make a sit on a clear rule-breaker, and have your sit in the queue for upwards of 20 minutes. As a staff member, since I'm on during semi-odd times (I'm PST timezone and usually play Civil Networks earlier in the day/very late at night), I would usually be on during those odd times, and help take sits to avoid the staff team being overwhelmed.

Since I've had experience moderating other types of game servers, have been in many sits on this server, and have played Garry's Mod for a decently long time, I'm familiar with both common moderation practices, and some of this server's specific tools, such as the character system, the warnings system, the whitelist system, and base GMod tools (props, toolgun, physgun, etc). While I have obviously not mastered all required tools, I'm confident that I would learn quickly, especially with help from experienced staff.

If you could improve something on the staff team, what would it be and how would you do so: Sometimes, it's very unclear, especially as a new player learning the mechanics of the game, what is classified under what rules. Although rules such as RDM, Mixing, and NLR are quite straight-forward, some rules, for example FailRP, are very open-ended. As a staff member, I would ensure that all players I speak with completely understand what the rules mean & how they are enforced. In action, this would be clarifying any confusion/discrepancies I notice in sits, normalizing and encouraging questions about the rules (even outside of sits such as in OOC/Discord), and focusing on education and mutual resolution over punishment for non-malicious players (those who accidentally or unknowingly break rules). In a high position (such as Head Moderator or Admin), I would focus on encouraging and assisting with the Staff Clarifications page, so that everyone is clear what constitutes breaking the rules, and confusion/accidental rule violations are avoided. I would also encourage other staff members to reasonably focus on clarifying rules and clearing up confusion in sits.
